I believe the correct part number for the E90 is 51 46 0 398 487 and for the E92 is 51 46 0 419 046

Here is an addendum to the original DIY. It shows how to remove the parcel shelf in E92 which differs from E90.

1. Remove the seats on both sides - pull straight up at the front, they will unclip rather easily.
2. Remove the side bolsters by pulling the top towards the front (to release plasic clips) then up to release the hooks in the lower area.
3. Lower the seat backs; reach inside the trunk and remove a plastic clip (at the top) and a bolt (T40, at the bottom, right through the fold-out hook ring); bend the trunk liner at the top away from the seatbelt cover - this will expose a screw (8mm) holding the seatbelt cover in place - it needs to be undone. Do it on both sides.
4. Unclip the small plastic "airbag" covers on both roof pillar cover panels which will expose screws; undo the screws on both sides (T20).
5. Using a long screwdriver (make sure it is clean, as should be your hands so as not to leave spots on the interior - or better yet use gloves), get under the pillar cover panel at the top, then reach down along the pillar close to the glass and pry the whole panel off towards the back/center and parallel to the glass. Two round plastic clips will get undone (per side); then pull the cover along the pillar up/towards the front of the car.
6. Once the pillar cover is removed, you will see two pin clips holding the seatbelt cover to the body; remove them. Now remove both seatbelt covers.

Voila! You can now remove the parcel shelf using the OP's instructions. *** No need to remove the seatbelts in E92 ***.

A few notes on reassembly for E92.

1. The roof pillar trim panels are tricky. Make sure to align their plastic clips with the holes on the pillar, and that the plasic hooks at the bottom of the panels are locked in place when reinstalling the panels. Once this is done, you will need to tap on the panel to force the clips into their holes. If the clips are misaligned, they will get smashed (had this happen on the right panel). If this happens, no big deal - the panel will still fit in place just fine; you can order new clips in the meantime.

2. Side bolsters - when you pull them out, white clips at the top will stay in the body. You will need to transplant them back to the bolsters before reinstalling.

3. Make sure to not be in direct sunlight or you will be sweating like a pig which can be a problem given a rather tight space you are in. A portable fan blowing air in your face helps a lot

Did you also buy the rear side window blinds? I think that they are just push in ones unless you want to retrofit new door panels.

I installed the side window covers which took like 90 seconds but the car is going to the dealership to install the rear window sun blind. I know it's only like 7 or so holes but I looked at it today then read this DIY and realized I can't (personally) put holes in my car. When I had my TSX I had no problems with this type of stuff.

No holes needed to be drilled at all. They were all pre-drilled.

Great! DIY, I am thinking of doing this for my e92 but damn that looks like a lot of work. I would have thought that if you buy the manual version, that it would be plug and play or at least pre-drilled holes or something and ready to install.
I will be getting tints but this is good when parking.

How do you know where the holes need to be drilled for the brackets for the shelf and stop light? (see below)

8-Using the measures on the instruction that comes with the kit drill the holes on the rear shelf. Difficult. Be very careful. Double check any measurement before drilling. Screw the blind and brackets to the rear shelf. Center the blind.

11-Remove the cover of the third or auxiliary stop light. Easy, just pull from the rear end. Using the measure on the instruction that comes with the kit drill the holes on the cover. Screw female bracket. Reassemble cover.
