My PROcede is still in the mail, but i'm already dreaming about this single turbo. You're a lucky man FBIS. Shiv, can I please be your first oversea's customer? You might have a small PR problem when i accidentally flip my car again, but don't worry, i'll blame it on the alignment and my poor driving skills.

cool wonder is it better than twin turbo as i know single turbo cars makes huge lag boost slower as i can say cos my brothers wrx with one turbo and in lower gears i smoke him very quick even on 6th gear rolling from 100km he and me huge difference i go he not even moving

Huge lag? Have you ever driven a I6 with a 62 wheel? On top of that, I have a billet wheel. This will spool incredibly fast.

all i am talking cos my brothers wrx with single turbo thats all and his turbo aftermarket not stock thats all my this turbo is different i dont know just asking

Ohhh, ok. The 62 with billet seems like it should be full boost by 3200-3300 rpms. That is a big powerband. The 58 Shiv is testing on the auto is full by 2800 rpm. That is quick and big power on both.

FWIW, WRXs deal poorly with upgraded turbos because they have several feet of runner length pre-turbo. One of the downsides of a flat engine using a single turbo. Which means the exhaust gases lose a lot of heat and velocity before they enter the turbine which kills turbo response. The exact opposite holds true in an Evo which closely couples the single turbo to the engine (very short runners). So if you take the same turbo and test it in both the WRX and the EVO, the WRX will spool much slower. It's actually quite painful

So I'll do you a favor, just have your car shipped to my house and then they can send mine to shivs and you can let them try again on my car. Like car swap. I'm too jealous to even say any nice words, lol. Looks awesome man, I can't imagine how pumped you are. |
