9 sec camaro huh very nice
Yeah, lol. Ill probably barely get mid 12's. Im hoping I have a factory freak!

I had a 88 camaro that I bought for 1k at 16. A friend of mine had a monster truck with 454 that snapped the axle. He sold me the motor out of it, I swapped, did a few more mods and had a 9 sec car.

Never an accident or speeding ticket though! Im a slow driver, and only took it to cecil county drag a few times.

With a step, some race fuel and an aggresive map loaded you may have a chance at low 12's or better. I ran 12.3 @ 116+ on just PROcede V2 with dual cones. And this was with a MT and not-so-sticky Generals UHP's while shifting like a girl. On a good day at MIR, everyone has a factory freak! Don't forget to bring a helmet.

Yup, got a helmet. Is there race gas included in the $100?

no you'll want to bring cash for that

I always tried to run my car all the way down to 0 miles left before I get to the track.....pucker your butt hoping you wont run out of gas and then put in 3 gallons of their finest 104 octane. Run up and down the side roads for a few miles and do some WOT pulls w/ your map of choice to get the car to adapt then get back to the pits and let the car cool off w/ the hood up for 30 minutes or so.

Then fight off your nervous twitches and make your 1st run.

Also, put more race gas in before you leave for the ride home

MIR has several grades. Iirc the highest is 112 but it's leaded. I think you can use 109 safely.

check your mileage til empty and monitor it up for the week or so leading up to the event. map out your route to the track and try to leave your house w/ the correct amount for you to get to the track with less than 20 miles left.

I've done this a few times

109 is leaded as well......only use the unleaded unless you are running fully catless and dont mind replacing O2 sensors every now and then......but you can make some SERIOUS hp W/ LEADED race gas.

Worst cast scenario I'll at least be there to spectate. I haven't quite figured out how to launch this thing yet, although I suppose it would be a good day to try. hmm..

What kind of bmw is the fastest that is going to be there? Is it a e9x?

I have a big black helmet. It has a visor in the front, but is pretty solid all around. It fits over my entire head. How do I know if its acceptable or not?

Fastest there last time was an e30. Sick fast. I think this might be a great way to send off my Invo rears.

Just come out and give it a try Phil. You will learn more about your car. I guarantee you will spin if you floor it. You need to learn to control your car. You wanted to do more car events. Here is your chance. Do I smell a race? You need to give me a couple car lengths or I can just watch you spin your tires in first gear.

Thanks for setting this up. I saw you had a Dec one set up and I was hoping for an earlier one. I posted on the m3post so lets see if we get any action from them.

Lets pray for good cold weather.
