19's on KW V1s....had to roll fenders but the car rides great and handles very well.
the only time I find it harsh is in the winter when the weather drops into the low 20's or below. shocks and struts really firm up hard during that period.....

Thanks all.
What springs give a mild drop, I will keep them on all year and drive in DC. (while the 19's will be swapped out for stock 17's for winter)

don't do just springs, spend some money and get a good suspension setup; i.e. coil overs. If money is an issue, buy slightly used. I did that and it works fine for a lot of parts.

Also, if you are still on the stock runflats, going to 19s wont be an issue at all. The runflats are pretty bad for ride quality.

Yeah I'm on 17" stock wheels and runflats.. which will end up relegated to winter use.
I don't need an aggressive drop and will never track the car so coilovers might be overkill -- but I understand that aftermarket springs + stock dampers is not a great combo. Anyone know if sport suspension components can be a direct replacement to non sport-package E9X's?? if so I may go that route, and get a slightly firmer / lower ride without compromising ride. (basically adding factory sports suspension)

Remember one thing, the factory shocks and struts are only good for about ~40k mileage....seen it on three German cars now. They just get worse with time/mileage

19's on H&R Sport Springs only... no issues here. Nice drop and still has the feel of a stock car.

Not true, there is a metal lip that can be rolled, we did it on my E90.

The fenders must be different on E90 than E92. Regardless, I am going to double check mine for a metal lip this morning!

Charles the E92 front fenders can't be rolled as they are plastic. The E90 is different where you are able to roll the front fenders. Don't ask me why bmw made one rollable and the other one not. |

E90: you can roll front and rear fenders
E92: you can only roll the rear fenders Car has 65k miles now, so 65k on the struts. Springs installed around 55k.
