Ebay link? Those look pretty good. Do you get an error?

I'd like to know this as well. Ebay could be hard to find a good working product though so anyone with previous experience always helps

I got mine here https://www.ebay.com/itm/Facelift-3D...72.m2749.l2649

But if you search the same title on ebay a bunch will pop up. I'm sure they are all from the same place, just a bunch of resellers. I did not get any error but I had stock halogen. I'm guessing you probably need to code off the error if you have adaptive headlights.

Oh I see. You replaced your whole headlight assembly. Looks good. Was hoping you just had the bulbs. Thanks for your help!

Yea. He likely had halogen lights from the factory with the 328. Those are not a direct replacement for OE Xenon, which all 335s have.

I got mine on aliexpress, took 2 weeks to get here for 12$.

You do not get the error code if you have xenon hid lights from my experience, I believe this is because the lights get powered by the ballast so the resistance is calculated at the ballast? I could be wrong but that's how it works. Because I tried the same bulbs for my fogs and it gave me a code since they run on a seperate system.

I agree but I still don't understand why the LUX website model pictures and even videos show brighter rings in a variety of application across the spectrum of e9x vehicles???

OP I would do an exchange first just to see if you got a faulty product. According to your pictures your outer AND inner rings should at least be somewhat brighter if not nearly as a bright as the web store pictures.

Seriously I wish mine looked like that

Is there no hope for e90 sedans?

actually there is....

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1111238

replacing the entire housing (or all the led rings) with the G30 550i 5 Series style rings!

not sure how much this would cost tho...

That's why I choose to go with a more affordable set of 80W LED bulb. Past a certain point, it seems as the more powerful bulb only makes the inner ring brighter with only marginal effect on the outer ring, thus only aggravating the brightness difference between the two.

This was the bulb I was referring to. Do you have this on your Halo rings? Pics?

wow sorry i just saw this thread now. As everyone mentioned, the outer angel eyes came from the factory shaped so that they are not visible when looking at them from an angle, and that includes standing up in front of the car. The only way for the rings to be fully illuminated is to be farther back from the car and they will appear much more clear then.

If you look at the video that was posted earlier that was taken from farther away and that is what the rings actually look like when you are driving down the road and how other vehicles see them

All of the pictures on our webiste are customer taken photo's as well that have not been modified to enhance them. Here is a customers photo for example. The photo was taken from farther back and eye level with the car

Just for more clarification, here is an up close picture of the angel eye with the stock bulb in there. You can see that only part of the outer ring is visible and that the rest of it appears clear due to the round shape of it. As well there is a picture with the LUX installed so you can see that it acts the same

I have a pre-lci e90 and my LUX's are pretty damn close to being even in both rings. Came out great on my car and I've been happy ever since with my headlights until i recently decided i want the euro headlights.

I'd love it if my 335i looks like the M3 you have pictured at the top. Mine look closer to the comparison pic and look nothing like the top pic. The only time you could see the outer ring light is at night time.

Upon installation, what is the exact orientation of the bulb supposed to be?

Appreciate you all coming on and clarifying this.

For the 100th time. The E90/E91 has different headlights. The E90 M3 uses the E92 or coupe/convertible style headlights which have a different angel eye design. You will not get even light from both rings on an E90/E91 headlight because they were not designed to be even.

That M3 has E92 headlights like all M3s. No, your E90/E91 will not look just like that picture. I've had LUX in two E90s now one with Pre-LCI which was converted to LCI and now an LCI E90. The inner right is brighter, but they look great.

I should've specified I have an E93 so I'm pretty sure my headlights are the same design as the M3 pictured.

I'm wondering if I installed mine wrong...

Do you have a picture taken from the same angle and distance? Standing above the car in the daylight is not going to look like that.

Not off hand but right now, my outer bulb is very very dim. It needs to be night time in order for you to see the light. In day time you gotta be up close to see the light.

The inner bulb is fine.

Maybe my light orientation is wrong?

I have Lux V3 LEDs in my E90 LCI xenon headlights and the outer ring is only illuminated at very specific angles. It's a design limitation and there isn't much you can do about it. Vendors rarely post photos of E90 LCIs with their LEDs but I've found the photos in this thread to be the most accurate

Maybe.

How would anyone know without seeing what you're talking about? There are tons of pictures in the Exterior/Lighting section of the forum. If your lights don't look like those then something is probably wrong and you'll need to find out if it's the installation or the replacement bulbs.
