I can't wait. What a great season.
Brawn GP is such a great story. Honda wouldn't be in first place anyway - they're using Mercedes engines.
Red Bull cars are running very well too - and they don't have the magic diffusor, so I'm not sure it's going to help out McLaren and Ferrari once they get a chance to develop it properly.

Thanks for more F1 porn E90SLAM.

It's truly incredible how they pack those cars for shipping. Seeing them all in their protective cases is a pretty cool sight.

Ok I am new to the F1 bug. I finally started to Tivo the races, and I think the addiction will grow. One thing that is bugging the hell outta me! What is the difference in the diffusers.

I keep looking at pictures between the Brawn & Ferrari and I am just not seeing the major difference. What am I missing please help.

Look at these 2 images.

The Toyota F109 design allows more air to travel further along the taller central diffuser allowing for more aero manipulation giving more downforce.

The McLaren MP4-20 diffuser cuts short the volume or air that is effected by the central diffuser compared to the Toyota design & what air mass is there doesn't have the same level of manipulation giving less downforce in comparison.

The Brawn diffuser seems even more efficient than the Toyota & the Ferrari diffuser is similar to McLarens.

Hope that helps.

Thank you for the response. But I could not see the images so I did some digging and think I have a grasp on the difference!

Kind of funny on a side note Hamilton & Kovalainen fastest in first practice with interim diffusers. How long will Brawn's reign last once the others convert and catch up.

Looks like another Brawn race. The first three cars are quite a bit lighter than Rubens and Jenson, and Rubens is 2litre heavier. Look forward to the race tomorrow.
