Hi Porscha!,

In respect of your rant: I don't know what's been said, so can't comment on that but having been a member of many car forums over the years, it seems there will always be some people who enjoy being forum bullies, throwing their weight around in a virtual world.

Personally speaking, if someone takes the time to post on a forum (and doesn't rubbish the brand that the forum is for) then whether they own the car brand the forum is about, don't own the car, like other cars too, is all irrelevant.

Having owned various cars from Ford, Vauxhall, Fiat, Lancia, Alfa Romeo, Volkswagen, Mercedes, AMG, BMW, Alpina and Porsche over the past 27 years (I bought my first car at 14). Each one represented the best of what I could afford at the time and more importantly an overriding passion for good engineering or a characterfull car - that is what counts!!

If someone told me on a Porsche forum that they thought the old Skoda 130 coupe had similar traits to the early 911's, I'd agree with 'em. Whilst ill informed people (who don't know the origins of Skoda) or didn't witness the rallies, still think there's some joke to be made, true car fans know the truth and whatever we drive now a true 'Petrol Head' would admit it.

Car forums should be for fans, admirers and owners who have an interest in the brand the forum is about and people should be welcome whatever they currently drive, have driven or still like!

Of course that's just my view

Talking Memories of Carlos

This thread just reminds me of young Carl's early days- he talked complete & utter sh*te (which I know he's happy for me to say & will not deny ) & wondered why everyone had a problem with him.

That's not to say that Porscha's talk of old cars is specifically comparable to Carl's general bullsh*t, but I still think the scenario is very similar.

Strangely, the outcome of Carl's ramblings was the creation of the UK Off-Topic Discussions section- we're still the only regional sub-forum to have this, so a big to Carl for his cutting-edge & progressive attitude to off-topic posting within the main UK forum.
Nice work, Shamzie.

Perhaps Porscha has the ability to post about old cars to the extent required to create the 'Duff Old bangers' subforum, within the Off-Topic section?

Hi Viv, I think most of my posts are very relevant. LOL

But im glad i was the main reason we have this great ''Off topic'' forum now. Its great. Post what ya like when ya like.

WOOOO. Viv how come you been so quiet on here recently? Busy with work mate,.

Oh and i too see a similarity between myself and Porscha on here lol.

although i had a few ''forum bullies'' who were very nasty and unreasonable on every post i made, just to try and make my e90post time hell. There was really no need for it.

Carlos

Maybe at UK7 I'll be the oldest driver with the youngest car. Or should I bale out of the BMW and just get a 1954 MGTD to be oldest with the oldest?

Sorry to bring back the thread from the dead, but we dynoed 375whp with it. He also had supersprint headers, high flow cats and mufflers.

Some other shop in VA did the swap...brand new S crate engine, plus the wiring, cost him 50 large.

We dont know if its running exactly right..for some reason the Porsche engine data monitor we have says the car is running 40 degrees of timing ...but I think somethings not 100%
