I've had mines on my window trip for about a year now I wash the car the same as I did prior to plastidip still looks exactly the same as day 1. Easy DIY do it!

I plasti-dipped the chrome trim around the window, the grill, and the wheels all about a month ago.
Do a first extremely light coat and wait 15 minutes before a second darker coat. I did about 5 coats on the wheels and trim just to be safe.
Make sure to clean the wheels extensively before plasti-dipping and to put flashcards inside of the area between the tire and the rim making them direct outward. The flashcards make it that you don't need to tape up the tires because the excess spray will be contained by the flashcards.
Take your time and don't rush.
Good luck
