Are APEX 18's the lightest wheel for the money?

I am looking to find some decently lightweight wheels in 18 inch (staggered) to put on my 335i sedan, that will be good for everyday use and as well on the track.

I want some 18x8.5 front, 18x9.5 rear setup, with some decent aggressive offset. I have brand new Michelin super sports i will mount on them. 235/265 setup.

Would like to be at 1000 or under for budget.

Those are light and are a good value.

I gotta tell ya, I cracked 2 of mine. It's probably a combination of a pothole + going fast + wheel strength, but fact is a fact.

I bought straight from Apex Racing website, ran me about 1300, can't recall, it was like 5 years ago.

Well, sometimes you can't avoid hitting the potholes.

Probably best deal is their yearly group buy. I bought mine for $1050 shipped because they had over 125 people buy. Not going to get that from any vendor. If you can wait till next year that's the best deal.

I think this is the first time I've read of a damaged one on the forum. any wheel can crack though.

Apex Arc wheels are pretty strong for me so far. I've got 18s in M3 spec for my e92 335i and so far no bends and I've hit my fair share of nasty pot holes.

I have a squared setup on my E46 M3 of the Apex Arc 8's. I have hit some pretty gnarly pot holes and they have held up just find, great wheels for the money. I live in the same geography as you and used Mike from VAC Motorsports in Philly. They gave me a slight discount and shipped for free, ran about $300 per wheel for 18x9.5 et35. Looking to swap two of them onto my E90 LCI now I love them so much.

Probably the best value wheel on the market for this platform. Light, quite strong, stays in round despite a beating on poor pavement. I've been very happy with mine and have eaten some nasty potholes this winter.

Any experience on rpf1's? Had those on a build for a bit (put maybe 20 miles on them) but just couldn't dig the look so I swapped them for ssr's.

They may not be the absolute cheapest, but they are without doubt the best deal for a super strong, very light wheel with proper BMW offsets. We run apex on our race and street cars - never had a problem.
