PLM downpipe questions? (w/ pics)

Just received a set of PLM 3" downpipes (for any one interested $275 and delivered 3 days after purchase!). One of the downpipes has very impressive quality for its price, but i have concerns about the longer one.

In the first picture, one of the 02 plugs is positioned quite badly and the plug takes a lot of effort to screw into place but it doesnt hit anything. Is it fine?

Secondly, on the outside along one of the welds there are some small cracks. They dont go through to the interior. I do not know whether I should be concerned about this?

And lastly, on the longer downpipe there is an odd indentation and i cant see how it would be there for fitment reasons. You can see about how long and deep it is because my finger rests fairly well in it.

So essentially, should I get these coated and slap 'em on or should I send it back or take other actions. Thanks guys!

Label should say "Cracks"!

Did you have that dent by chance? I am more concerned about that then the O2 sensor.

Your pipes are completely normal... I actually messaged the seller about the same thing on mine. If you go and look at the auction, you can see that the "dent" is there on the photos as well. Mine had the "dent" as well.

As far as the cracks or ripple your pointing out on the second photo, that just looks like they didn't completely smooth the welds down. I wouldn't worry about it.

I just installed mine and they went in without a problem and have okay clearance. The shop did have to source another v-band because they said that one of the flanges was too thick.. I personally think they are just stupid and didn't know exactly what they were doing but just a heads up.

DO NOT use the included clamps, they are complete POS.

the dent is completely normal, even if you look at pics of bmw performance pipes you'll see they look like they've been trampled.

They look to be worth the amount charged, not pretty but at least will flow better than stock.

I would say they look ok. Shortly after you install them you will be glad you didn't waste $550 more. For that kind of money you can get a full-featured tune.

no problems with my VK downpipes! If anyone from two years ago remembers, they pioneered the cheap "eBay" N54 downpipe

exactly, right where the O2 sensor is. It will never cease to amaze me that people will put cheap sh*t on an expensive car.
