You will want an oil cooler because the engine will be producing so much more power. Interestingly enough, my engine seems to heat up less than it did with FBO+upgraded twins. Goes to show how beneficial a exhaust back pressure reduction is for overall engine stability/health.

But fwiw, customer kits will get water lines hooked up to their single turbo. In my car, we left them alone for the time being. We will plumb them in when we change the spring on the wastegate soon.

^Shiv, I don't know how you manage to get any work done while you're always on here promptley answering peoples questions!

People are always demanding quick answers and updates and on the same token they have been demanding progress on the car as well. Seems like a double edged sword to me!

But kudos to you for being able to multitask and deliver the product/results with great customer service at the same time.

Now get off e90post and get back to work!

Any status on this Shiv?
Also, Can you provide some additional details on the smaller turbo such as the max torque @ specific RPM, waste gate used (is it divorced), trim used, max whp, etc.

How are you able to fatten/lean your fuel and can you please elaborate the lean run protection you've implemented? Good job!

Id love to pull into a dealer and have them take it back for say a waterpump issue or oil change and they see this big turbo sitting there. That would be a great! LOL

I was thinking the same thing. That would be pure comedy. Your SA calls up a few hours later. "We were fixing the water pump and noticed this rather large manifold where your stock turbos should be" Oh it's ok sir that is how it is supposed to be

Shiv what did they say when you brought it in to the dealer. Were they all blown away as much as we all are?

both of you realize that instead of what you think would be comedic, in reality it just would probably mean that everyone in your service department would have taken you car out for a road inspectioin right?

happened to me when i was fbo + k04 + meth on my b7 a4.

I can't wait to test out the 6AT tranny ... BTW, i'm going 1 size smaller on the turbo, just so i can mate up the power curve where the engine likes to cruise at (around 2500-2700 rpm).
The stock sensor has to account for pressures below 1 atmosphere(<14.7psi), that's likely why 2.5 bar doesn't get much past 20psi of boost. Boost logs will typically read -2.7psi for me @6k ft altitude.

I'm in the process of getting a used 135i 6mt sport packaged coupe. 3200lbs and 600+whp sounds like alot of fun

Shiv is there any clearence issues that are a dead no go for doing this sort of single turbo setup on a 135i? I know there would probably need to be tweaks, but nothing substantial to make it not worth coming out with a 135i kit, right?
