Remedy for car withdrawl:

Decided to take a first time stab at replacing the brake system of my winter beater. The brake system was so freakin rusted it all had to be replaced. Rear drums and front disk system. Next week I'll do the hydraulic brake lines. They are looking pretty beat as well. Napa Canada has become my newest best friend.

I was going to use it for winter track driving and a mechanical learning platform.

Yup. The brakes were totally shot.

i installed mine on the M, i can help you just bring a small flat head and a torque wrench. Are you manual ? Because if your auto then its a total different story.

Not worth any pics. It's a '97 Corolla that I rescued from the junk yard. Just a project toy to learn on when I have time. I will likely try a timing belt and water pump for the next project. I'm scratching my head how to clean my driveway from all this brake shite.

My son just called. I have a fourth grand kid to add to the family. A baby boy, 8.75 pounds. Mom and baby are doing well.

It wont be long before I can enter him in some competitions.

Congrats Joel! You will need to trade in that corolla for a mini van to bring all the grandchildren to various places!!!
