I don't think so... It seems like dynavin has problem loading gingerbread.

If you want GPS, get the WinCE. If you want to play around, get Android.

Installing D99 in car today... actually my installer is doing it. So, can someone confirm that the USB Wifi antenna needs to be plugged into the plug labeled GPS USB? What is the purpose of that? Is that the actual GPS antenna?

What about the DVD USB? What is that for?

It's your wifi adapter for your wifi connection

Those are the inputs based on which OS they go to. The GPS USB goes to the Android OS so its where the WiFi adapter needs to be plugged into. The DVD USB goes to the multimedia OS so its for anything you can to connect via Aux that's on USB form. So a thumb drive or portable hard drive.

First report...

Okay guys.. got the D99 Android installed in my 2011 e90 today.. professionally installed at a significant cost... $$

I have tons to report and many photos soon.. but first, I have to say I give this product a 1 out of 10. Right now I want to rip it out of my car. I have spent several hours this evening pulling my hair out because this thing is so complicated. I have major buyers remorse unless I can fix some serious issues.

The manuals and instructions on how to operate this thing are completely inadequate and for the most part, unavailable.

My most important problem at the moment is that when I am on the home screen with the list of apps, I cannot swipe the screen down to see the second page of apps. The screen is supposed to scroll, but it is literally like trying to pull hair out of your belly button.. unbelievably frustrating. The touch screen is absolutely horrible. I cannot move the screen to the second page (vertically) without selecting an app inadvertently. I bought a stylus this evening in hopes of making it easier to swipe the home page app screen, but it simply does not work properly. I tried going into settings and calibrating the touch screen.. no help. What's worse, if you are in a menu of some sort, you literally cannot scroll vertically from page to page without inadvertently selecting things you don't want to select.

I have no idea what to do with this thing because I can't even navigate screens...

Other issues I won't even bother to discuss yet...
-Radio has horrible reception... stations that were loud and clear all over my city, I cannot even pickup now
-I cannot figure out how to tether my iphone because menus are buried and complicated
-Bluetooth is paired to my iPhone but my address book will not migrate to the D99

Well that went well.....

Turn your finger over and swipe with your fingernail, works 100 times better, did you take the protective plastic off the screen? Also I personally use a screen protector to keep it clean and scratch free but as a side effect it is also "slippery" and makes swiping motions easier.

Wifi tether is standard android stuff....settings>wifi

iPhone phonebook should work fine, in the iPhones Bluetooth menu there are settings as to what gets shared, you probably don't have it set up to share. If not, delete the pairing and try again.

Radio reception should be fine, if it's that bad I would suspect the antenna came unplugged

Yes, I took the protective plastic off the screen.

I do have iPhone settings for phonebook setup correctly.

I will take car back to installer and ask them about radio reception.

Thanks for your input...

Remember there is a community of hundreds, maybe thousands of dynavin android users out there on another forum, you should probably get involved with them if you are going the android route. Just because it's new here doesn't mean it's new....

Okay, this helped ALOT... of course who in the world would know this fact unless it was relayed by someone with experience. I know that this could perhaps be found in a forum search, but wouldn't it be nice if there was an operators manual to describe such things?

I don't think you understand, it is against the forum rules for non sponsors to discuss selling on this forum. Discussing this with you further on this forum could get me banned. I already answered you question via email....
