dual setup on 328 with performance exhaust
i have a 328i lci and im thinking of changing the exhaust setup to 335 setup but i have performance exhaust and i really dont wanna lose the nice sound because of cuttings that has to be done to the pipes...so my question is,has anybody done this with performance exhaust and how is the result going to be?

it has been done. Can't remember the thread name. apparently the member who did it said it changed the exhaust note. Toned it down, but that could be subjective. I am going to sort of do the same with a stock muffler. M3 quads. One of us will find out sooner or later.

I had exhaust work done at evolution auto performance. If the three of us are looking to get work done, we could all go together one day to a shop that does decent welding. Evolution does tig welding. |

Also. I would suggest a v-band set up if you take out second cats. That way you can throw them back on when needed with ease. You won't have to worry about air care for a few years but eventually you will. Last edited by mapleridge; 09-25-2012 at 09:13 AM.. |

Yupp I was the one that did this first I'm glad it was an inspiration!
Well, to tell you the truth, the sound decreased a bit after the conversion but it got WAY louder with the cat delete. Get one, you won't be disappointed at all. Your car looks awesome btw. |

You shouldn't worry about pops, you'll be hearing them... A LOT. When I say A LOT, it means, excessively... More than Stock PE. (That is.. due to the cat delete of course...) |

just got my second cat delete. it's pretty loud right now , i can hear the exhaust really clear even with windows up. and the poping sounds has come back . but it's still different than the poping sound before i do the ecu tune. overall i like it .
