So I drove through Lake Charles this past weekend going to Houston, and Lake Charles is the perfect spot. They have a beach front spot that have parks (for the kids or dogs), beach for fun in the sun, a nice area for picnics and/or bar-b-ques, and parking for over 50 cars. It about 1.75 hours from baton rouge (so about 2.75 hours from NOLA), and about 2.25 hours from Downtown Houston. The "pier"/boardwalk, military helicopter and airplane, and water will make for some awesome pics. As of now I have the place. Now just need a time. What would be a better month June or July? (sorry july 4th weekend is not an option, just b/c i'm sure everyone have their own plans and I'm sure beach front will be super packed)

I'm not sure who normally does the houston meet planning but if ya'll can have that person, or any of you want to get with me, and maybe we could meet in lake charles, have lunch or something and check out the spot and discuss set up information for the meet that'll be great. Let me know.

our little Houston group is slowly dying

not sure if the meet would be as big as i want it to be, but i can gather as much people as i can. July would be a good date since we are having a Houston meet in June.

Been super MIA, but a meet soon I thinks would be a good idea. Not for Nola, but for us just to get shit rolling again.

Out of curiosity anyone here drive a white e92 335i that crashed today on 59 where it meets beltway 8? the driver was Asian. was just wondering if it was one of ya'll. If so, hope you guys are alright and the car wasn't totaled...

I have a blue front bumper w/ very slight damage on the inside. (one of the tabs is bent, but you can bend it any way)

Hey Houstonians! May have introduced myself before but trying to stay active on these forums now. Took home my first BMW Sept 2011. 2011 328i. Studying up on mods and how to take care of it.

Anyone have any suggestions on a good shop to do in-between oil changes at?

Also a quick question: I went into the shop recently for my one year oil change, I guess it got its oil changed when it was delivered to the dealership in 2011. When I go to the Oil menu it says 6000 miles or April 2013 (If I am reading it correctly). Does this mean they didn't reset my gauge (should read 15,000 miles after an oil change at the dealer, right?) Also it shows a symbol of the car on a lift at 16,000 miles and I'm at 14,100.

Having a hard time understanding those gauges and what they mean.

It's better if you change every 4-7500 miles depending on how hard you drive the car. Places for an intermittent oil change depends on where you live. M-Power Houston (Westpark/Fondren), Advanced BMW Repair (North), Silvios (Midtown), etc.

Sounds like you're under factory warranty and maintenance. Just take make an appointment with BMW when your car tells you to. They'll do everything that's needed for free and provide a loaner if you request one.

I had all my warranty/maintenance done at Advantage Midtown. Never had a problem with getting a loaner.
