perfect fitment E9X wheels for non-M cars
Just got these Volk Racing TE37 Classics put on last night.
Perfect fitment on the narrow body E9X chassis. Lowered on Ohlins Road & Tracks 18x9.5 +28 5x120 with 255/35ZR18 Toyo Proxes T1Sports no rubbing or fender roll required. Last edited by RebornS14; 03-27-2018 at 01:40 PM.. |

Looks amazing man! Was this the same set the guy with the f31 wagon was selling? I wish I got a +28 instead of +22 squared, still fit a 255/35 pss all around but it still rubs a bit

THANK YOU! i love the way it looks. and feels great too. these wheels are so light, makes the car feel so nimble.
2011 yes, LCI - is there difference in wheel fitment between the pre and lci? Quote:
my other options were Advan GT's & CE28N in 18x9.5 +35 - 5x120 but i would have had to use a 4mm spacer in the front to clear my coilover perch in the front and add like a 7mm spacer to bring the rears out. |

originally i did plan on going 19's as well but the tire prices and overall diameter seemed like it would get too close to rubbing on stuff at full lock and what not. im really happy with the fitment on these 18s. i might try to see how a 40 series tire will fill with this set up next time around. |

Yes, pre-lci has a narrower rear track that can allow for more aggressive fitments at the rear.

Keep in mind that's a conservative fitment for either a set of OEM wheels *OR* a set of aftermarket wheels w/stock diameter/width/offsets. No 'hellaflush' fitment, but noticeably more 'aggressive' than stock. IIRC, any wider than 12mm front/15mm rear is when fitment/clearance issues begin. Disclaimer: I don't have spacers on my car, but this is researched/based on what I've seen from a large number of owners who have installed spacers & who have had great feedback regarding fitment/clearance/ride/safety. And those Ohlins....mmm...they are on my list of goodies, too. I'd love to hear a periodic update on your opinion of their performance, etc. Great choice of wheels, and I am a huge fan of bronze color, too. I've got a set on my 10AE Miata.

So this gives me hope with my setup - Apex Arc-8
front: 18x9 et30 (245/40/18), rear: 18x9.5 et35 (265/35-18). I've been going back and forth with it as some have said a 10mm is needed to clear the fronts with Ohlins. That's going to be a problem given that the fronts will then sit at et20. If I can fit the front with just rolling, I'd be happy. Otherwise, I'd have to look for new wheels. According to this, https://www.willtheyfit.com/index.ph...9-5&offset2=28 it should fit, I think... And like FCobra, I'd like to know how much room you have on the inside with the fronts.

my fronts are maxed with the factory camber notches which didn't give me much camber, i'll have to dig up my sheet to get the exact number. rear's don't have any adjustments but was in the green from what i remember. i had 7mm room on the inside to my ohlins dfv perch. so i had plenty of inner clearance for a meatier tire but not to the fender. 255's are plenty enough for me. the rears had way more inner clearance. i had 10.5 +34 fit with no issues before. i believe the rears were the same as E90M fitment. just the front fenders are not able to take M fitment (9.5 +21 etc) i'll post my alignment sheet once i dig it up. |
