Track Tires: Hankook R-S3's Discontinued. Need Good Replacement

2007 335i
225/40/18 front & 265/35/18 rear
Used up a set of Hankook R-S3's on a set of the stock rims for autocross and track days only. No street use. These tires were excellent. Now they're worn, and I went to get a new set. Discount Tire tells me they're being discontinued. Has anyone found a good replacement for these?

Thanks,
Pete - Tucson, AZ

There is always the Bridgstone S-04 and Falken Azenis RT 615 tires. If you have any questions about either or would like a quote shoot me a PM

I wouldn't get S-)4 or 615 for track.

Check out the BFG Rivals.

+1

BFG Rival
Bridgestone RE-11a
Dunlop Direzza ZII

Personally I'm going with the RE-11a as I want something with better wet tracktion than the Rival because I don't intend to swap wheels between events.

I left the ZII's out because they kinda die off when they get greasy. Never had too much experience with the RE11's but few runs on buddy's 911. They were OK.

RE-11 or RE-11a? The 11a is a new (better) compound.

The Hankook R-S3's are certainly not discontinued, but I would agree that there are better options to choose from like the BFG Rival, and Dunlop ZII.

From my personal experience, the RE-11 was great. The RE-11A is supposed to be a great update for these tires.
