The Elektra was in the picture until around 5:30. She left the dock shortly thereafter. I called Customer Relations and they said that they can track only to the port. After that they cannot track the car, but your dealer can (including getting the ship's name). That seems odd to me that the dealer can do something that BMWNA cannot.

According to customer relations, my car arrived @ port yesterday, the 7th. Is the Monday 11th ship my best hope?

I guess I'll join this crew. My 328 is awaiting transport to port of exit as of yesterday or today. I'm hoping to get on the Undine on 9/14 for arrival in Charleston on October 3. Performance Center delivery after that.

If I don't make the Undine it's a long wait for the Liberty.

Thanks. I never expected to make the Elektra. I just started thinking it was a longshot as my car started getting closer to the port and the Electra was still there. I've been hoping for the Patriot all along really. I think you have a pretty good chance of making the Patriot if you have been released and are on your way to the port. The Patriot arrives on the 9th (tomorrow), but does not depart until the 11th.

Munich to Bremerhaven takes close to 20 hours from 1 stop to the next...I checked the computer on several cars and its about 1 days travel time...

First, are you positive your coming from Munich. I ordered a 335 sedan and thought I would be coming from Munich but checked my VIN one day and realized I was coming out of Regensburg. I doesn't make much difference, but Regensburg is a little closer - from what I have been told.

I was supposed to be complete on 9/7 but when I spoke to Customer Relations, they confirmed that I completed production on 9/5 and was released to shipping on 9/6 and was in transit to the port on 9/7 and arrived at the port today on 9/8, where Straz 335's car was seen taunting my car as it sailed away.

My 335 sedan was released to shipping today 9/8 so it should be to the ship by 9/9 or 9/10?? Your car will be the one taunting mine as it arrives this weekend

my salesman is off today, as is the finance manager @ my dealer--can't get the exact status of my car--hopefully it make the ship that left today!

they (the dealer) should be able to tell me the name of the ship, right?
(sorry if this is a dumb question, very new a this process as this is my first BMW)

It would be great to make the Patriot. That would get the car into Charleston on Sept 30 and maybe delivery the first week in October. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Correct, BMWNA (the 1-800 #) can track the car to Bremerhaven and can tell you when it gets on a ship (essentially track to the point where they give up control to a ship). At that point they are done. Then th eonly way to track the car is through your dealer. The dealer can get the date the car shippen and what ship it is on. That makes no sense, I know, but that's the deal.
