Helen and Will - the comment was not aimed with anyone in mind. Not you two anyway.
I'm sure I will have another car that I like better than the 944, so far though the '44 has been my favourite (both times around, was worried it would disappoint the second time but it hasn't). Had I more experience when I owned my 911 that would have probably been the favourite. Me prefering old cars has nothing to do with my age, after all I could easily sell the Z3 and the 944 and buy something a lot more modern, "safe" and "reliable"

so now youve had a go at me for spelling and grammar youre going to use commas, fullstops, apostrophes, colons, semi colons etc etc in the right place right? with capital letters at the beggining of each sentance and spaces in the right place with zero mistakes right?

Nic, when are you going to realise that you ain't gonna convert many (prob not any!) of us to old tatty Porsches with 150k miles on the clock and windows that don't work!!! We frequent this forum because we have one thing in common. We either own (or have owned) an E9x BMW - hence the forum name E90post.com!!!!!!!!!!!! Not 944post.com Not mx5post.com Nor MGBpost.com Or preSC922post.com or TVRpost.com or whatever 'thing' is in fashion this month!!!!!!!!!! We LOVE our Beemers, complete with our climate control, ABS, heated seats, smart alloys. We enjoy spending silly amounts of cash buying them and modding them sometimes. To US they have character. We love em like you love your 944, but I am pretty sure if I joined 944post.com they wouldn't care a toss about my M3? Horses for courses IMO Making sneaky comments about us just trying to show off and impress, etc is never gonna go down well here is it? It aint us keeping up with the Jones, it's the Jones's keeping up with US!! Last edited by M3-FAST; 06-25-2009 at 04:43 PM.. |

1. My car is not tatty, thankyou very much,
2. It has 127,000 miles which works out at only 5600 per year bet your car if it's still running at nearly 23 will have more and be in worse condition, 3. The windows do work, I put a new relay on. 4. I'm not trying to convert anyone, Trix mentioned not being able to use modern cars to their full capabilities mentioning my name, I gave my take on it. 944's and Pre-SC 911's are always in fashion as are 7's, just so you know Carrera - 924 CGT is lovely

I love old cars especially MGB Roadsters. When I finally get round to buying one It will only be used as a weekend/sunny day jolly.
There's no way it would replace my daily drive, couldn't go without 'leccy windows & airco.. P.S.I'm back upto an 8..
