I'd say it was the glow plug controller, mine has started doing it too, but I need to find if it's one, several glow plugs, or the controller, so you might want to have the codes read.

The controller is about £100, and each glow plug is about £19 plus VAT

Mine only does it when it's 5C~ or below - is yours the same?

No codes showin as I checked with my scangauge 2, not sure why it could be unless its the idle control vavle or maf early stages of failing, will let it develop I think.

In past hunting engine at idle was signs of swirl flaps about the fail. I would get the car read is it under warranty still. Lets hope its an easy fix

it could be number of things my merc recently started to do this as well. Going to get it booked in after xmas to get it checked out. If you have a indie local to you get the codes read to be safe

Looks good in theory should read codes but in past I've used number of readers and only then for codes to still be read unless using full coding software or the dealer machine
