New owner, opinons need plz

07 e90 335i 92k.......Should I do JB4 and DCI or would I better off investing in walnut blast valve cleaning due to mileage?.....New owner not really sure of maintenance done prior to me owning, but car does idle and run great.

@ 92K, I would think you could use a cleaning. At 58K mine was so bad the car did not run smooth - I had no issues w/ idle but I was having hicups and surgues during acceleration.

I think you can go in to the dealer and have them print a history by giving them the key to the car, they can pop it in to the computer and read the services.

Things you might run in to, I have 95k on mine:
- Water Pump ($1,080)
- Oil Pan Gasket
- Rotors
- Pads

I haven't done a walnut blast yet, and I doubt the previous owner did. My car too has good idle and runs great. So that's something I look forward to, maybe it will perform better . I have a JB4 and Injen Intake, I'm happy with the performance.

I probably won't be going any further with performance mods because i have extended warranty and I need to be able to take off mods before bringing it in. It's definitely worth having the jb4 and intake.

Walnut blasting is definitely something to look into at that mileage. For people who want to know the current condition of the valves we actually have a camera we can snake up to them and take video/pictures for you.
