New DiMisa 3" exhaust tips for 328, installed - photos
I got the BMW Performance Exhaust a few months ago. I enjoy a stock looking car with maybe a few touches to call it mine...
Although I fell in love with the BMW Performance Exhaust, the tips it came with I felt were rather crude. They are a single walled chrome pipe. To me, they just looked like 'chopped off' pipes... So my quest for the perfect tip ensued. I searched high and low. Scoured the web, quietly examining and noticing exhaust pipes on all cars as I walked though parking lots, commuted to work, watched TV. I was restless... It started to feel like some sort of perverted obsession. One that I could tell no one about, maybe only occasionally post here about my search. I spoke with Cyba who assured me his 3.8's were too big and he was reluctant to work with me, rightfully so, he was correct and i would have been stuck with them. I started emailing JP at DiMisa Tips in Florida, and he sent me the 3.5". After holding them up, I felt like they were overtaking the back of the car. He took the 3.5's back without question. After further discussion together he was kind enough to custom make a 3.0" version of his 3.5" tip. Dealing with JP was a breeze. Every email was responded to, and I could not have been more thrilled that he was going to fabricate a 3 inch version. It matches the rest of the trim on the car, it looks sporty, and subtle without over doing it. I feel like the car is finally *just* the way I want it. When the guys at the exhaust shop saw the tips, three of them commented on how high quality they were and felt. The finish is truly remarkable. I believe JP is now going to add these 3" tips to his product line.

Looks awesome. I just put a set of v3.5 on my car with the muffler delete and they fit the single opening perfectly. I'll get some pics of that later after my bumper gets repainted bc of an accident. JP was awesome to work with and the tips are nothing but amazing!

Looks great
I've been looking for a nice set of tips like this to fit the single side/double tip exhaust. How do these attach? Do they simply slide over the muffler pipes? Clamp On? Weld On? I just sent an email to DiMisa Tips to get a set for me Thanx -Jay-

Thanx!
I just sent them an email. I assume these are polished SS? Guess you had to cut off the existing tips, slip these over the muffler pipe stub left, and tack weld on?

OP - thanx for posting this up - been wanting a nice set of tips for some time. Got very discouraged when I was turned down by a couple other vendors stating there was no market for these??? Guess their business is doing well enough and they didn't need the $$ Price on these is in line also

OP-
BTW, did you happen to measure these before install? What is ID of pipe where it slips over muffler pipe? Length?

IIRC it's 2 1/4 inlet. It matches BMW PE perfectly. Any exhaust shop will fit it properly. You can see better from the shot of the car on the lift.
