Just got my new car!!!
Okay well maybe not new but it sure does feel and look like it. I wanted to write a review of my mods so here goes…I already had my power mods but no handling mods. So last week I ask myself what is are car lacking that would make it handle with some of the best. After a bit of research I found sway bars, a limited slip, coilovers, and some wider rubber. My next question to myself was how much will all this cost with shipping and install. I came up with almost 7K. Which is not cheap, however, when compared to trading in my car for a M3 it didn’t seem like a lot at that point.
So I ordered KW3’s, UUC sways, Quaife LSD, 19” M6 reps, General UHP tires. They were all shipped immediately and I got everything within a week. Paid a bit extra to a small trustworthy shop to clear their schedule and just get everything installed. Got my car back and my jaw dropped to the floor. I didn’t recognize my car with its lower and wider looking stance. It look so much more aggressive. I took it around the block with the tech and realized that the ride is going to be a bit rougher. The car has no body roll at all. I went to test my car on a highway ramp that I always fly up on. I usually can do about 65 around that turn, I couldn’t believe that I was able to do it at about 85 and that with me still learning the limits of this car. Its just so rock solid now. Around the turn I could feel the LSD working the experience was almost point and shoot. Combined with my V2.1beta, UR Dps, and UR CAI. My doesn’t feel at all like a 335i. At times its just down right scary but I always leave my car with a grin from ear to ear. Pretty amazing for just a 3er. I want to thank Ron************.com for his help. He really followed through with pricing and support. Great guy in general. By the way if your waiting for theV2.1beta: All I have to say is, just keep on waiting…its totally worth it! Hopefully if the weather permits on the 6th of April, I will have time slips up for your review. Thanks for reading my post. -Vince |

Nice write-up, Vince. Glad U enjoy your LSD and stuff. Based on my experiences the suspension mods will be the ones I'll do in advance to performance mods.

I actually thought that the stock suspension wasnt that bad for stock power. It wasnt until I got the V2, CAI, DPs that all of the sudden the weakness in control became more apparent.

Car looks great!
But if you were really looking to upgrade the handling, why the General UHP tires? That is one of the most important aspects of your car's handling.

I hear you, actually, I switch off the tires at the track those are my daily cheap tires. Chicago has alot of potholes so im sure that I will eventually get a bubble in them. however, im surprised they really arent so bad.

Alright Vince
I think we put an unbeatable suspension together plus your car is already a beast. Glad everything got to you quickly and right away so you could get it in for install - all this done in one week - from ordering/shipping/to getting it installed. |

Im actually getting the Rennart exhaust put on later in april or may with quad tips hopefully I will have a full body kit by then. Also going to be getting a custom FMIC and Oil cooler installed by then to help the engine stay cool with the extra power! But strait up J, you change parts on your car like you change your underware. Can I say Ballin'!
