once inside the headlight you can go a number of different routes... you can paint it (either with a gravity feed spray [better choice] or rattle can), you can tint your turn signals either by using "Night Shade" paint or you can cut out a little tinted vinyl piece to go in there. As for the reflective chrome needed for high beams and such, you can probably get away with painting them gloss black with like 3 or 4 coats of clear to to make them shine... maybe even try black chrome paint (typically with a gravity feed sprayer - i haven't found an effective rattle can black chrome paint yet). Obviously, if you paint them, either way you are going to lose brightness out of it...

You should post a DIY, doesn't have to have pictures but detail would be nice.

Looks so much better than the stock headlight. Too bad I don't trust myself to properly seal them..

you pop all of the chrome accents out. their just lil pastic clips. (just pull on them they wont break) then you just paint them no sanding needed

if you have xneons it wont effect the brightness but if you have halogen you cant paint the chrome around the bulb

i painted the chrome around my turn signal bulb, but i replaced the standard orange bulb with an LED one: LINK

Sidenote: I'm having a difficult time placing a good seal on my LCI halogens as well... i'm starting to think though it's not the seal i'm putting around the headlight, but perhaps a bad seal on the panels in the back of the headlight... i pulled them apart last night, ripped off all the RTV silicone, and now i'm putting JBweld all around the headlights lol... yes, it's extreme, but this is my 4th time pulling the headlights out and trying to prevent the condensation... it's become a tedious project >__< next time, i'm just going to take my time and heat gun the lens off instead of cutting it off with a dremel. To finish this fix up this time, i'm going to run a bead of RTV silicone on the edge of the panels - just in case.

I love this! Lowandslow115 please do mine. I live in VA. I volunteer my headlights and this time we can actually do a real good DIY guide. All for the greater good of the E90post community ;-)

yea id try and go over the dremel cut with a second heavy coat of rtv just to make sure, you might have missed a pin hole sized spot and it might be causing it to fog up
