ALSO, for those whom have done valve cleaning - do you see any fuel economy changes??? Performance gains??? (although I know they say its minimal, if any)
From what I've heard there is some decent fuel economy/minor performance gains. But it's more of a maintenance thing to maintain the longevity of your engine more than a "performance" modification. It's recommended to do it at about 80-100k. It's kind of like saying does changing your oil give you noticeable gains...yes/no, but you dont do it for the gains.

Luckily I was just getting minor engine work done, but for anything extensive I'd probably make sure to request Ivo does it all. Ivo is absolutely top notch and is extremely diligent in what he does. It's obvious from the get go that he's super careful, which is my main concern and why I don't do alot of work myself because I'm a clumsy idiot.

But ya, let this just be a heads up, although the new guy is good, he's still young and has a bit more to learn in terms of diligence.
+1 on this.

Did valve cleaning @ IVO's two weeks ago. Realized that I had a sliiiiight oil leak, as I had a small pool on oil on my undertray. IVO diagnosed that it was my oil filter housing gasket (OFHG), so we replaced those as well while the engine was apart.

First off, I'd like to state that IVO has a LOT of experience with our engines and it seemed like he could do valve cleaning in his sleep.

Throttle response has improved with much improved smoother idling. Power feels more potent and even throughout the powerband. My gas milege as also improved from 13.8L/100km (before valve cleaning) to 13.2L/100km (after valve cleaning).

PS- should I have replaced my valve cover gasket while I was at it? ~135000km on my N54

With all these posts here thought I give Ivo's shop a try.

Simple oil change and swapping H3 and H8 bulbs, and did an inspection of a few items I was concerned about.

Very friendly and knowledgeable (although my items didn't provide an advanced test). A very good experience and most of all love that you can watch the work being done and he's happy to explain things to you.

I'll be back.

And btw anyone who says that GP thunder angel eye bulbs are bright, white or good in any way is crazy. I replaced my current aftermarket bulbs and they look much worse, and terrible with driving lights on.

That sounds great. I'm definitely going to send all my friends and family to him now. What's even better is he is only 5 mins from my work and it's on the way home for me.

Want to do all fluids...how much would he charge for the following if he had to supply the goods:

Oil
Coolant
Tranny
Rear diff
Brake

If you bring your own fluids, what's his hourly rate?
