Post up your muffler deletes!

I am going to be doing a stainless steel muffler delete with 3.5 inch rolled tips, wanted to see if anyone has done this, and has pictures of the install or completed project, i watched a few videos and it def. sounds good!!

There's a few, but not too many. Most have stayed away due to the raspiness.

I dont think its too raspy with a set of 3 inch downpipes. But i cant justify doing a full exhaust when a muffler delete saves money, weight and opens up some power while removing the exhaust servo.

First off, you're probably in the wrong thread and section. This is the N55 section. It shows you've got DCI, and Tial bov, which probably means you have an N54. I'd probably assume you're a 2009 or 2010. So, a muffler delete would not sound the way you have intended with the N54 vs the N55.

The N55 would need to hold a little back pressure for full throttle response. You don't want to do anything that would make air pass through so easily, but also not too restrictive. Downpipe, and axle back exhaust (BMW PE) does just perfect for most of us. It gives a great throaty sound, some good gains, and doesn't ride off rough and too annoying.

Hope this helps, and good luck with your search amongst the N54 buddies.
