also, I plan on doing a Dyno sometime next month.

I planned on doing it this month, but just bought a WWII M1 Carbine and just dont have the extra cash laying around. guns vs cars.... its a toss up. For now, youll jsut have to dyno yourselves or wait haha.

I dont imagine pulling the computer is something they'd do for free.

Is it really that easy or something?

theres no pulling of any computer. Unless their laptop is on a cart. then they would pull the laptop over to your car.

All they do is hook it up to the OBDII port, download your info, send it to AA. Then AA modifies it, and sends it back. Then they redownload it on your computer.

now, you may be asking about shipping in your ECU. they might charge for that. But thats pointless unless there is no tuner near you.

Keep in mind also the price is $100 more for the 328 versus the 330/325. I still have no friggin clue why that is.

328i is a different DME part number than the 325i/330i. Might have something to to with the internal circuitry.. I'm not sure, but it's a good guess.

Also, all 3/2007+ bmw's use a different interface protocol (D-Can vs. K-Can), so there is probably some different things AA needs to do to program them. But obviously, there are 328i's made before that, so I don't know if this is much of an issue.

Do you have to reprogram if you add mods?

IE if I do the 3stage intake manifold swap, should I get my AA fix before or after the swap?

This is something I will be getting in the next couple months.
However, I'm not near a dealer who'll do this and will have to send the ECU in.

Looked in the DIY section on how to remove the ECU, but photos were removed from the one I saw.

Pretty easy getting the ECU removed guys?

Im bringing back this topic from the grave! I would like to get this mod done as a local shop near Toronto has it on sale right now. I was just wondering for you peeps that have had i done for a while, how is your fuel mileage compared to stock? Has the AA tune affected your mileage?

This has been discussed in our Official thread.

Most people report 0-2 Mpg more than the stock tune.

Has anyone had any experience with Silicon Valley Concepts in Campbell doing the AA tune on their e90?
Do I have to reprogram if I add a PE and intake afterward?
All input appreciated

You do not have to update for a PE or intake. Neither will do anything for power before or after he tune.

So I'm fairly new to engine tunes but I know I want the AA tune. But I'm confused, so you have the aa tune and the PBX at the same time?

There are some using both, but I wouldn't recommend using the PBX performance software if you have an AA tune. I think it would be ok with just the throttle adjustment. Maybe someone using both could chime in.

I have a 2006 e90 330xi sport and was thinking about the AA tune and know next-to-nothing about the mechanical components of cars. If there are not any other mods on the car is the AA worth it? Is the addition of a K&N airfilter recommended/ necessary?

Can you comment on the tune with the Eurobox? Does the car feel complete?
