Can anyone paint aero lip mesh black in Vancouver?
Anyone know a shop that will paint the mesh on the aero lip front black? or any people in the forum? Will pay a small fee, don't want to do the DYI guide I don't trust myself

I would avoid painting them. That's what I did (wasted 2 hours) and they looked ghetto. No matter how hard you try, you will NOT get it perfectly. There's so many tiny little places your paint sponge can't reach. Not to mention the paint comes off with high pressure washer.
I ended up just ordering the 328i black meshes (yes, the 328i coupe uses black ones) and install them myself using the front bumper removal DIY. The grills were not very expensive at getbmwparts.com. If you go to a body shop, they'll likely remove your front bumper, take out the grills, paint them, and reinstall. Very expensive process for such a small mod. |

I was thinking of the same thing of getting them painted, but know I wouldn't do a great job. So I have looked into it and the black mesh could be ordered for our cars which I will be doing very soon. The DIY for front bumper removal doesn't seem hard and I will just install them by myself! I would also recommend buying over painting!!!

I am extremely glad that you guys are listening to my advice. Trust me, you'll be much happier this way. Using plastic paint on a $60k car is so ghetto. Part numbers for 335i coupe (stock bumper) without PDC. I ordered from getbmwparts.com and asked them to help verify that these are indeed the black 328i mesh:

Removing the front bumper of the E92 is relatively straight forward IF you know where all the bolts are (some bolts are inside the fender liner). If you really insist on letting someone else do it, then go to a shop who has experience with BMWs (especially the E92). Unfortunately I don't have much experience with body shops so hopefully someone else can help you.

loser21, hopefully you haven't ordered the part yet, or that your car doesn't have an oil cooler. Ok, even if you did, I read that someone simply drilled several holes in the right side grill to fabricate the oil cooler opening. |
