Quick update for everyone:

Handover is agreed for tomorrow

I did go to see the car but it was in such a dark storage bay the photo's are too dark to post here. I will take pictures tomorrow in the showroom and post them here by around 8pm!! Stay tuned......

Its going to be one long night.........!!!! Any advice?

What a fantasic car, so powerful, so refined, its magnificent..... still hasn't sunk in yet.

Guys, and girls, the pics will be up for tomorrow, the handover took so long (over an hour) i haven't had the chance to do some decent pics.

Awesome pics will be here tomorrow before 8pm....... promise!!!

HiFi system is awesome, and DAB is worth every penny
Tinted glass looks fab
Can't wait to get the IPOD hooked up
and PDC at the front is essential (for drivers like me lol)

and its been supaguard treated..... any views?

The supagard is ok for a few months,not sure I'd spend the money again though.

Anyway,pleased it's turned up and is obviously hitting all the right spots,enjoy.

oh and i know exactly what you meant about the handover

mine lasted about 2 hours in total, all the paperwork and stuff....seemed like all morning though !!

Can somebody let me know what i need to ask for the cable that allows you to control/charge your ipod too? I got a USB-to-USB cable and standard 2.5mm aux cable, and although you can connect the IPOD with the later, its doesnt provide full functionality. The name of the cable/part no will be great....

Just got back from cruising around showing some friends, its incredible, cant wait to take some decent pics of the monster

Cheers Chris...... yep the roads are really wet/oily in solihull, so the wheels are keen to spin!! So i have been controlling the "urge"!! Awesome car though, just beginning to sink in.

The handover was great, very well organised and not too much detail.

SAT NAV has got the latest 08 DVD and post code entry too.

Guess i should read the manual sometime, have you?

guess im lucky i have family who work for BMW, Handover was delt with in about 30 mins, and most of that was chatting.

Ive got mine out twice, then put it straight back in the folder. Tell a lie, i did look up the symbols that come up on the nav, i didnt realise it could tell all it could about the current situations up ahead, i always giggle when the upside down car comes up lol (well on its side lol next to the other right way up one
