Congratulations

Great car and looks well looked after. Good price I think for the extras.

I would take the advice here and get a warranty for this. The 335i's are more susceptible to failure. A lot of stories of HPFP failure, injector replacements and coil packs.

But no need to worry with a warranty. Hope you enjoy it!

Will the warranty pay out If it's modded?

Steve scared the the living daylights out of me in that car at Snetterton in 2008, he had it remapped by evolve to about 360bhp, which was i bit too much as it kept going into limp mode due to the heat as i remember. Properly fast car though congtrats.

cheers guys for the comments. It is a surprisingly quick car as i say and it is everything i hoped it would be but the only thing that concerned me a little was how hot the oil gets.It was reading around 110 degrees without booting it but never went higher than that.I am used to oil temps of 90 max so was a bit worrying, other than that the car is brilliant it needs a few small cosmetic things doing to it and a thorough clean inside and out but overall i am pleased with it

Strange about the oil temp, mine takes bloody ages to get up to temp, Although I was told the reason it went into limp mode was due to it having the m front bumper and it not having the correct cooler inlets for the radiators???

Even my diesel reads 93 at the mo.

I always thought it was a bit higher for petrols.

If it's running a tune then that's going to increate the rate of heat up. I'm pretty sure 57 reg onwards an oiler cooler added to 335i as standard. Good news is I think you can retrofit an one if needs be.

Mine sits nearer 120 when I'm giving it a little.

120 is the middle of the gauge and I read others running at 120, so I never thought it was anything to worry about?

Hopefully all goes well for you.

FWIW, mines been of the road 11 times in 18 months with various glitches, hence my warranty recomendation. Still love it though!

Oil temp wise, never seen mine go over 120 even when 'making progress' , and takes about 10 mins of normal driving to get to around 100.

I find the same,it doesnt take more than 10 mins to get to around the 90-100 mark but never went above 110 even when driven in a 'spirited' way and also returned 34 mpg

I think people "hope" there is something dodgy or broken with it to help defend the resale prices of their cars, not in a nasty way, but if a nice car goes for that price, other cars need to be reduced. I wish my car was worth what I paid for it 7 months ago, and I wonder what price I would get for it if i needed to sell, especially if you can pick up a nice car for less than £15K.

If £15k cars could be classed as all having something wrong, then that helps keep values up, especially of AUC cars where premiums have been paid for warranty piece of mind.

I'm not saying anyone has tried to do that on this post by the way, but I kind of feel it a little, the only person that likes a bargain or a great find is the person who benefits from it I guess!!!

Enjoy
Totally agree ,i got loads of hassle for offering 19 for a 335i m sport a couple of weeks ago when seller wanted 21k +despite no one on here offering more, quentin wilson hit the nail on the head in his column this weekend, big metal is struggling in present climate!!!!
