Ticketed in CN today...

Sorry for what might seem like a "stupid" question, but I just got a ticket for $103 for passing on the right.

If I pay it, my insurance will not be affected right?

Thanks,
Dave

What's CN? Connecticut? If so yes the states are all tied together now. Got a nice fat one in NH and am still paying for it.

Instead of ticketing people for passing on the right maybe they should ticket people for not moving over.

How do you get a ticket for passing on the right?
It's not illegal- there must be some fine print...

By the way, I'm a truck driver with a Mass. license, and while at a truck check in Maine, they discovered that my license was under suspension in New York for failing to pay a ticket from 1992 (illegal u-turn).
Maine issued me a ticket. I cleared up the thing in NY, paid the Maine ticket (pled guilty), and now Mass. has suspended my license for 60 days. Things could be worse; I could have been stopped in the 2 weeks that the registry took to inform me.
I would'nt be so sure that New York does'nt tell anybody. I think things are changing.

Talk to my insurance guy he said 8/10 times nothing will happen, but with my luck lately I don't know if the odds are good enough.

The sad thing is there is a law about passing on the right...

If "passing on the right" is considered to be a moving violation within your state (or the issuing state) then yes, rates will be affected.

MA doesn't share info. Thats why my 93/65 didn't get my license pulled when I was 17.

Well... if the cop wasn't a lazy ass and had followed me off the exit...
