Steering Problem

My 335 with active steering and 50000km has a slight on-centre "deadness" at slow speeds. It's hard to explain, but there feels like a slight pulsating/wobble to the steering wheel on-centre and you can feel some very slight resistance to turning. I might be just over sensitive, but I thought I would throw it out to the crowd here to see if anyone else has experienced this.

At which speeds are you experiencing this slight wobbling feeling from the steering wheel? Throughout my experience, one reason why you would be feeling a steering wheel oscillation would be due to the imbalance of the front wheels and tires. If you have not had your front wheels/tires balanced within the past 10,000 miles, it would be something to consider.

Also, a soft control arm bushing or a worn tire can cause steering wheel vibration.

The tires are only about 5000km old. I replaced the OEM runflats with Hankook V12s. I thought at one point the numbness might be due to the different tread pattern and/or slightly different tire size.

I will have to get the dealer to check the bushings next time I'm in as I don't know what to look for.

I have the hankooks as well....which side are you feeling the resistance when turning? I feel that when turning left, and it appears to be the driverside wheel....

The funny thing is, all this happened after I got rid of my OEM RFT and got into the Hankooks......

I've came to this conclusion, Falkens>Hankooks.
