Hey Shiv (et al),
Many thanks posting the results. First, congratulations, I believe it is a very promising start as you said.
Regarding 325i n52 EU version. It runs on 95oct fuel but stock is 218 bhp and 250 Nm (184 lb ft). I believe then than AFR, timing and so on will be different?
Will you run different maps for 95oct? and for 98oct? Will it be possible to run E-85?
Moreover, I always believed that our n52 (specially n52b25) is very capable of raising rev limiter over 7000rpm or 7500rpm due to having a cylinder with larger diameter than stroke. It is a must if you want to rev it higher, due to the inertia forces that generates a longer stroke (and also the lower maximum angle of the connecting rod on the crank pin.
The difference with my 218 hp stock is only the fuel and therefore the AFR and timing?
I would be willing to help you to develop any specific software needed here in EU and provide you some feedback for Europe. I am sure that there will be other people interested here in Spain in our BMW community.

Australia continues to watch also. Ours is euro spec here. I presume all is good to tune ours the same?

I agree, that is were I always thought it kinda lost some oomph.

Can't wait to see more results! Rev limiter increase is always welcome hehe. Nothing like that sound up there around 7k.

Need to have more of a balanced power. Torque is up and down a lot. Accessing fuel table and afr tables will clean this up. Tapping into the valvetronics is the key to getting more power out of this engine.

The bumps in power are natural and causes by the 3 stage intake manifold. It can be smoothened out but only at the expense of torque (ie, chopping off the top of the torque bumps). Definitely still a lot left to try. Especially in the low end which is currently stuck where it is due to fuel mapping limitations.

a 3 stage intake manifold USA version running 95oct n52b25 should be roughly the EU version with 218 hp right?

Have you ever mesured air flow into the engine? I was reading the maximum the other day on my n52b25 EU version with K&N drop-in filter and it was 170 g/s

Shiv, maybe I missed something, but you said it's a stock 328i so it wouldn't have the 3 stage manifold..

I posted multiple replies asking about 325I with no luck that's why I stated that.

I think '09-'11 lci N51 models have 3stage manifold already.

I'm still around Hayward Shiv if you need my modded n52 for comparison.

Some do, some don't, I think - afaik, LCIs don't universally have N51 vs N52, it's an emissions thing. N51 is the SULEV version, which is I think the only one sold new in CA, for example.

pretty sure all n51s have 3 stage because n51 and n52 is the EXACT same engine except compression on the n51 is different for emission, I forget what the compression ratio is, but because of the compression the power output is lower than the n52 which is why BMW made the n51 with the 3stage to compensate for the the powerloss and bring it back up to par with the n52

All N51s DO have the DISA manifold. That's part of the POINT of the N51.

I'm saying not all LCI E90s have N51s, some have N52s. It's mostly a function of original sale market.

ooooo i thought you were talking about engine, not car. Yeah, youre right then hahaha

got me confused because you replied to jason's post "I think '09-'11 lci N51 models have 3stage manifold already."

Shiv will you be able to gain access to the rear o2 sensors to reduce the sensitivity to keep the CEL out or turn them off completely?
