So, now I'm a BMW guy back again, hence the reason why I'm in this forum... but that doesn't prevent me from full apreciate what an accomplished car this Subaru is (or any other equally good car for that matter) and how it can be better than the 1M. That's the reason why I was banned from the 1M forum, because I can fault what I drive or what I want to drive and I can prize what the others drive.

Levi, you can't go wrong with this Subaru, I wish I was your age! Go for it and have a ball!
I waited for the BMW Z2, but till today there is yet no sign of life. That is why I am getting the BRZ. If I'll have enough I'll then add a BMW, 2 Series Coupé. I would love the upcoming M3 Sedan also. But that is later.
I am sure BRZ/GT86, 1M and Cayman are the best entry level sportcars, probably the only ones.

The BRZ is the best fun cocktail of them all... don't look back!

I would venture to guess an STi version will be at least a year away. Once the standard BRZ is established they will kick it up a notch with an STi version. I would expect the same from Toyota/TRD.

Scion FR-S by Greddy

From SPEEDHUNTERS

Along with the red production model, Scion also unveiled a modified version of the FR-S. Built by GReddy, this black example featured small, but significant, aftermarket additions.

Although the body remained untouched, the GReddy FR-S showed a glimpse of the tuning potential of the FR-S.

The RAYS Progressiv forged wheels measured 19x8.5 +45 at the front and 19x9.5 +45 at the rear. The front brakes were fitted with four-piston GReddy calipers.

Now, Toyota and Scion have stated that they built the 86/FR-S with the enthusiast in mind, and on first impressions they weren't lying. Many of us will appreciate the lip of the rear fender, which is folded back.

The +45 offset used on the GReddy FR-S were on the conservative side, so larger widths or lower offsets can be accomodated.

GReddy's FR-S also had a twin-exit titanium muffler.

This is what the factory muffler looks like...

...And this is the GReddy replacement.

GReddy have also developed coilovers for the FR-S. In my opinion, just the ride height and wheel change have dramatically transformed the FR-S' appearance.

The Scion still retains the 86 Boxer badge on the front fenders.

The interior featured blue alcantara inserts on the seats.

I can't decide which i like better. Any thoughts as to whether they will be boostable? If not then they are nice but 200 hp aint gonna get 'er done. I'm looking to buy another car in about 1-2 years for the commute.

It's gotta be. I can imagine a conservative to moderate turbo setup adding 100hp. Greddy putting 9.5" wheels on the back on this car is unnecessary unless they had something big planned down the road.

interior is ugly IMO. Too much going on.
also no rear head protection for backseat passengers.

But I guess thats good since those were basically the only problems I found and I doubt people who buy this car are going to be carrying many people or care about the interior so much

You can choose the car based on the interior style that suits you the best...

The main problem is the leg room. You sit so deep in the seat that the head can rest on the back of the seat itself:

I call it a Subuyota or Subyota. Flows off the tongue easier than Toyobaru.

This is sweet looking sport coupe.
Unfortunately this car is not sized for naturally larger and older enthusiasts.
Youngsters will love these cars.
I hope they did some interior space magic like BMW and Audi can do to accommodate larger drivers.

The 1 is a perfect size for me, it just needs to lose some weight.

The Subyota has rumors of a 300+ turbo.
That would be a screamer performance car.

For me the Subaru is the clear winner! Not so 'busy' looking inside out.

Judging by the wheel gaps there is plenty of room for wider rubber, plenty, especially in the rear.

Why did they go and ruin everything by putting an embarrassing Scion badge on it?

Nobody's riding back there, are you kidding?

The back seat is there to keep insurance costs down for the youngsters who will snap these up like a bum on a bologna sandwhich.

The Subi interior is nicer, but the Toyo ain't bad either.
