no it doesn;t matter, use it whenever you want. Although you will notice a vast difference, if you don't it means you're running the wrong map

Are you FBO?

E30 needs more than three gallons.

http://www.dsmtuners.com/sub.php?page=e85calculator

use the link above to calculate how much you need to add, the second table specifically.

if you are adding E85 to correct the timing for an AGG stage1/1+/2+ tune then what you;re doing is fine... but for E30 you need to be FBO and use the calculator to add in. if your regular gas is 91, then target E40...

Also drive for a while (5-10 mins) before gunning it hard.

That. Yeah I'm on the fence about doing FBO + Turbo's and BBK until I'm sure these timings can be cleaned up.. No sense spending money on a horse that might be past its prime

I spent 30 minutes finding an actual authorized shell station and what a difference the tank has mad the last 4 have been awful..

Most of the time these corrections can be corrected. it's not only about fuel but also your hardware. Spark plugs, coils, etc...

My previous '07 E90 @ 89k was running 21psi and 16.5 degrees of timing with no drops...

and yes, I've seen huge difference from station to station.

How long should I wait after adding to start logging? Would it just instantly change it with just 3 gallons?

Looks good man, a very mild overboost at ~3700rpms but not enough to really cause throttle trimming or timing corrections so i wouldn't worry about it unless it gets worse(which it probably won't.)

Awesome thanks. Now what about not hitting load targets?

Load "targets" is a bit misleading. Think of it more as load "ceiling" because it is there to establish a max load that the DME will allow the engine to make. In fact, you don't want to hit/exceed load targets because odd things with timing tends to happen.

What's important is that you're hitting boost targets, as long as boost is on target then everything is as it should be as far as load is concerned.

well corrections can be due to other things beside octane

you want to keep a constant ratio, so when you add in gas you need to add both your base fuel and E85 to maintain whatever ratio you had. of course you don't have to be accurate to 10e-15 lol, but you get my point.

I hope you are logging STFT and LPFP actual just to amke sure you are not maxing out trims, and two LPFP is keeping up

Well I'm just glad it looks like I can wait a few weeks to do Plugs, Coils, exc. I had it all in my getparts cart waiting to see how these logs went

I'm also glad I went from two cylinders with multiple correction points going on down to one, and then that awful log where the entire log was corrections (thanks techron)

Don't throw parts at it! start with plugs they are cheap and take seriously 30 mins to install inlcuding taking all off and putting back together. IF you're generous swap the coils at the same time since they need to be removed anyway when you do the plugs

Oh I can't do plugs (I can't even do oil yet) lol even if you gave me 6 hours I'd still probably brick the car

I might start playing with it when I get out of school and don't need a DD I've often considered just keeping this thing because I've grown so attached to the car then it would be ok if it was out of commission for weeks at a time.
