Whats the deal with Scorpion Exhausts?
hey guys I found a scorpion exhaust system at Bavarian Autosport which is right down the road from where I live. I checked it out at the store and it looks legit but its only $500 ?!?! Has anyone heard or seen any info about these exhausts and do they sound any good? Any info at all would be great

Its a muffler for $500 not a full system right? I'm running the Rogue Ikon which is just a muffler and in the same general price range. I love how it sounds with my resonator delete. Perfect tone for my NA BMW.

Its a cat back, so it comes with all the pipes, the resonator and the muffler. It seems too good to be true but it is from a reputable bmw parts store in portsmouth nh and they carry a full line of BMW PE as well so It's hard not to jump on it. Just wanted a some other opinions. When i go back to re-investigate ill snap some pics.
Rogue Ikon seems like a nice alternative, good to hear you like the sound. |

Interesting. I ran one on my old CBR 954RR and was happy with the sound (more aggressive without being loud) and gains but have no idea how that would translate here.
I'd ask for more detail on their below quote before pulling the trigger. Please note: These systems were constructed to fit Euro model vehicles, significant modifications to the inlet piping between the catalytic converter and the resonator are required for installation. Professional installation required. |

I found one on bavauto.com for my 07' 328xi coupe. The Remus power muffler is $200 more but just comes with the muffler, wonder how this compares to the scorpion.

The latest addition to the Scorpion line up is BMW 325i & 330i E90,91 and 92 variants.
The half system replaces both the centre and rear silencers with sports derived multi pass silencers developed with performance in mind yet keeping noise output to european approved levels. Scorpions visual upgrade is a must for any BMW owner, the new 3 series range is no exception being available with a revised STW trim , 2 x 76mm straight cut trims staggered in line with the bumper and the very attractive Monaco option, 2 oval trims staggered inline with the cars bumper. With Scorpion exhausts systems and silencers you have peace of mind, not only is the development one of the most stringent in the business, all components are manufactured using T304 stainless steel enabling Scorpion to offer a lifetime manufacturers warranty for the purchaser of the exhaust. Scorpion also manufacture to ISO 9002 standards ensuring Scorpion Exhausts fit right first time every time!!!! http://www.bmwland.co.uk/forums/view...p?f=36&t=69533 |

Yeah they are and thats why i figured I would be a safe bet buying an exhaust system from them. I might have to be the guinea pig in this experiment. The price also has to do with that particular exhaust being made for the european model so for it to fit on my E92 i have to do some minor modifications and flare out one of the pipes to make it fit (an exhaust specialist could cut, weld/clamp on the flared pipe). I have yet to investigate the price of this modification but will keep you all updated. If anyone beats me to it let me know

Yeah i went to lous to inquire about them modifying it. They said they could do it but it wasnt really cost effective, they ended up deleting the muffler and resonator and put in a borla muffler with twin tips. All in All $420 all said and done. Couldnt pass that up and it sounds fantastic (plus the borla muffler is titanium so will last a while)
