I've ran 6,000K HID's on the Mtech front bumper for over a year without any issues. They actually run cooler than regular bulbs so you'll be fine. Also, On my brothers car we ran the OEM splitters. I think it looks the best and gives it a very aggressive look to it, while others contour to the lines of the bumper. Here's my brothers car for a reference: |

In the front...tore up hood and front bumper/grilles.
Before: Now I have the blackout grilles and a handy license plate holder that I can take off because it is attached to the lower grille. After:

Looks great, I love how the M Sport looks on Alpine White. I would go with the OEM (or OEM style) M Sport splitters. Is a drop in your future?
