2010 335i MT6 JB4 and catback hits the track!

Try this over in the appropriate forum,

Took the car to the track, modifications are JB4 ISO, Autobaun Exhaust and e85/93oct blend(5/10gal.) both runs just over half tank gas. Only got two runs as the track was absolutely packed and there were multiple stops... anyway I was pleased with the first time out (in this car), but I know there is a lot left on the table. It took me over 20 runs in my old camaro to get her dialed in.

Back half is only picking up 20mph...seems low to me and judging by the cars I've raced on the street, the trap should have been near 114mph. Spoke with my friend and the JB4 is set to shift light at 6300rpm...which may be high. as you can see my 3rd-4th shift really occurred near 6800rpm.

DA was near 0 to -150 and had a slight 5mph headwind about 63F

(in case the embed doesn't work)
watch it in 1080p gopros rock.

TLDR: went out ran 12.754@110.79, video shows slightly different time at end (was going off memory), trapped 90.96mph in 1/8 which is strong. Had fun and want DCI's and other bolt-ons now. Looking for advice on shift points in these badboys.

Map 5? You mentioned the altitude, but what was the DA? I agree, your 1/8th mile traps look strong, you should be able to bump your 1/4 traps up to a 111-ish. I was cutting 2.0 60' on an un-prepped street surface, so if you can stomach abusing the clutch a bit, you should be able to knock out a 1.8/1.9 on the strip, and that will really get you going.
These cars aren't exactly geared ideally for the 1/4, as you only just get into 4th, that's why they seem so potent on the street when you can really dig into 4th or 5th.

DA was 0 to -150. On map 5 had a lot of adaptation miles. Was at royal purple raceway which Is at sea level. I definitely believe it can do a 12.5 I just thought I would be trapping higher. Thanks for the feedback!

Great DA, I envy you. It was 1900ft here in San Antonio.

For 6MT, I shift at 6300 rpms in each gear which seems to be the norm.

Pretty impressive times. I need to take my car to the track soon to see what it can do in the 1/4 mile. Thanks for posting!
