Anybody stayed there, or familiar with it? It's on 610 Geary St. I am looking at it for my trip out there next month for a convention. Never been to the city and I have a shoestring budget...

Or the Grant Plaza Hotel for that matter too. I've got that one on my list. It is actually closer to the location of the conference.

where is your convention location? what's your budget per night?

the bulk of the conference will be at the Fairmont, with break outs at the Masonic Auditorium and Stanford Court.

i went ahead with the Grant Plaza Hotel, through expedia it totalled out to $605 for flight and 3 nights, which i think is a pretty good deal. i am really excited about it, i've never been out there.

i was there last weekend. I stayed at the Fairmont San Francisco on nob hill. that was real nice.

yea, i would like to stay at the fairmont too, as most of the conference will be there. i just can't afford it, even with the discounted rate for our conference. my company is not stepping up as much as i would like them to so i am having to pay for travel and lodging.
