I agree. The stock one draws attentions, BL gives that away to the car itself. Thus, there is nothing really significant to do with body color matching for BL because it just "takes away less" from the car.

E90= Dark, gloomy clors + blacklines = Mourning Car.
Not my idea of a sporty vehicle.

Bimmer325: What's the e90 scene like in KL? When I was down there last Jan (06), I didn't see that many e90s yet alone modded ones. Have the blacklines hit the street yet?

how hard is it to install the blacklines? does it void any kind of warranty and/or lease contract if you do?

It's very easy, and doesn't void any warranty.

Another great DIY by longtran here:

...its an official BMW OEM part so there shouldn't be any warranty issue, its plug and play. They are easy to install too...check out the DIY in the DIY section if you haven't done so already. Have you seen any blacklines in your neck of woods yet...I haven't see any in and around Alexandria/NW DC

you could always check with your dealer...a search should bring up the part number. Ebay would be best for price though...

A member on here from Canada had black lines on jet black. Forget it who it was. They look great especially of the windows are tinted. I will probably wait another year or two before I get them

Thanks for the compliment. The main reason I changed to blacklines was because the white plastic outline on the stock reverse lights was driving me crazy. It was just too much of a contrast. Personally, I think the stock ones look better on the lighter colors (that white plastic doesn't stand out so much) and the blacklines are a must on the darker colors.

Here's a closeup....

Soo right. I was really thinking about getting the blacklines but I just don't think they go with white.
