it could only happen in this country! m25 works and cameras.

the m25 junction 5-6 is opening next week. they have spent close to 3 years widening it to 4 lanes and have resurfaced a strip on the outside and inside lanes leaving the other 2 lanes like a bloody cart track! its so bad in places it will have to be repaired by the end of the year. by contrast when I was in france 2 years ago they resurfaced about 40 miles of 4 lanes and it was billiard table smooth, the old surface was 10 times better than anything we have over here. perhaps we should have withheld one days subs to the EU and resurfaced the road with the money. by the way beware the cameras they are not in the middle of the gantries but each side of them and they are working.

Same in Spain, motorways are so nice and smooth there. I've yet to find a person who can tell me why we can't have roads like they do. Answers I usually get are because it rains a lot here or it snows and its not as hot, but you can go to Florida where roads are much better where there is torrential rain every day, and you can go to the ALPS and the roads are better than half the roads around here it snows half the year!

You gotta wonder, do people in government have large share holdings in tarmac companies or something? Seems we love to waste this stuff.

And yet we pay so much tax!

Nothing is done for the motorists....

everyone else gets looked after....

from cyclists to bus lanes, road closures for sporting events etc...

wide empty cycle lanes which are barely used for the sake of the environment. Obviously the months of construction, cost of materials and increased emissions caused by the disruption have zero environmental impact.

we paid for the Spanish roads through our £50 million a day eu membership! so I suppose there is nothing left to fix our roads. when you consider that its quite understandable. UKIP will be getting my vote then.

Out of interest, does anyone know why they widened this stretch? The worst bit of the M25 by far every single day is A3 < -> M40

I've never had any issues going east beyond the A3, it's usually all cleared up by then.

Although we make a net contribution to the eu after the uk rebate the net contribution is considerably less than the above Daily Mail headline figure

I suspect its already been decided there will be another runway at Gatwick and this is to ease the increase in traffic by people going abroad on holiday, yet another blow for the uk tourist industry and associated jobs funded by the taxpayer.

Ah that's a pretty reasonable assumption. Well it won't help them as they'll still be stuck on the other 25% of the M25 :P

Unfortunately the country is run by the egg heads youll remember from school. On paper they are exceptionally intellegent. But in reality they are the same awkward tard that you remember wetting themselves in the corner of a room. Or not being able to gain friends due to terrible social skills. Clever on paper with an unorthodox way of thinking.

When really there are people that arent paper clever that have a much wider concept of how things should play out but due to test scores sit in medeocre jobs being shat on by the same pant pissing socially awkward no nothings.

Rant over. Lol
