2010 335i Long Block into my 2008 335xi???

Motor blown on my 2008 335xi, found a motor out of a 2010 335i.

Will it work in my car?

Both N54.

I understand I will need to change the oil pan for the xi system, other than that, is it the same block & head?

Much appreciated.

Just curious what failed on the other motor? How'd it happen?

Yeah Im planning to swap out just the long block, going to keep my original DME and wiring and all the electronics.

So the long block minus the oil pan will bolt right up you say?

Thanks again!

If you change your injectors from the original ones, remember to have them coded into the DME to avoid potential issues.

That is pretty rare to hear of a blown N54. Did you have mods? Also did you go WOT when this happened?
