It was Geoff Brabham. He looked pretty relaxed in his M3 as the pace car (when i was spectating - appeared to be driving with one hand). Anyway I jumped in the 335i behind him and tried following his driving lines. i was using the paddle shifts as opposed to just leaving it in sports mode. shame there weren't 335 manuals there. i am pretty sure he wasn't pushing his m3, hence i was able to keep within a reasonable distance from him. i couldn't elicit any tyre squeal like i could when i took my 335 to the track a few months ago. i thought maybe they had switched the RFT's to non-RFT.
also a shame they didn't have any proceded 335's there either! |

Well I woudn't expect BMW to endorse the Procede nor the Exede at their event but heres hoping to see one at a track day soon.
I was able to get a good amount of tyre squeel especially on the last lap where I elected to stay back a bit and give it a red hot go. Received an email from another BMW dealer today offering to take one of those cars for an extended test drive before they get shipped out next week. Hmmm .... 335 coupe for the weekend would be good but I'm just too busy at the moment. |
