Got a nail in my tire! Is it repairable??
So as I was driving home I heard a funny noise coming from the back of my car last night. Unfortunately when I woke up this morning to take a look I seen this. Im wondering if it is repairable or not? If so, what are some good shops around Brampton/Mississauga.

Exact same thing happened to me:
I got a patch and all is good...have data logged at over 140 no issues. How do you like your invo's? (I have a set on the way) Your tire will be good as new man....it is in a good location to fix. Here is my brand new PSS that got a screw in it: http://img856.imageshack.us/img856/1...9633319890.jpg

Most shops will tell you that you cant repain an RFT.... something above compromising the integrity of the tire.
In any case, A patch would fix that right up - make some calls and see who will do it. -p.s. I use to work for Firestone years ago and I know we weren't allowed to do it. |

fully repairable as long as you don't have a sidewall puncture.. and as long as it's not a run-flat.
If you're on a non-runflat.. take it to active green and get it patched for $30 and you're good to go |

If it's an RFT, doesn't it matter how much you drove on the tire when flat, something about the sidewalls? My understanding is that it's repairable provided you didn't drive it with the tire deflated. Did the air completely leak out or is the air pressure inside the tire still pretty good?

Hey guys,
Thanks for the responses i appreciate the help! Yes they are non-run flats but the tire has not lost any air either. She is still parked in my garage and the tire pressure seems fine. I will be calling some shops tomorrow to get it fixed and see who is willing to do it. Quote:

Not necessarily true. Some shops won't plug run flats due to perceived liability issues.

I would just plug it myself. Go to Canadian Tire and buy the kit for $10. I've lost count how many times I've done this on both the E90 and TL, works perfectly.
