I have 2007 CPO until 07/13 6-speed, E92, fully loaded with navigation, 46k miles. can include like-new winter set (1 winter) for a good price (set is $1400 new)

price: 26,950

335i with winter tires is MUCH better then 335xi with all-seasons. < buying S2000 myself as daily driver

I'm in the same boat, trying to decide right now. I will be using snow tires either way. I also didn't realize that the xi had a LSD, whereas the i did not. I live in Cambridge and commute to Andover, but the road that leads to my company is poorly-plowed in the winter. Does anyone else care to comment?

Edit: I drive a lowered E36 M3 right now and would NOT feel comfortable commuting with it in the winter (on snow tires), if that helps.

Andover roads aren't plowed well at all. It was such a dramatic difference driving on 28 from Andover through North Reading. That said, my xi did awesome last winter on stock 17" RFT's.

I live up in Newburyport and drive an XI. That said, if I didn't spend a lot of time going to Vermont and the white mountains in the winter I'd go with the RWD. These car's are so heavy I don't see the need for awd unless you're constantly driving on unplowed roads where you are f'd if you get stuck.
