Arrgghh....almost got head on crashed but took evasive action instead....
Stupid dumb bitch whore broad on her phone coming otherway in a parking lot turned around and when she did she hooked her hand striaight left pretty much, I saw immediatly what was about to happen, turned hard right into/around the parking island, rashed the right rear rim really bad and the passenger side skirt got tore up on the curb, scuffed it pretty badly. Thats the damage though, nothing more, thank god, damn whore didnt even stop damn near hit another car kept going.
Im really glad thats all the damage that I came out with. Found a guy selling his OEM Space Gray skirts on the classifieds already and PM'd him. I might just wait till spring to put it on since the only thing that could happen in winter is it gets worse, lol. We'll see, Im going to get all my rims fixed this winter too and de-rashed and chipped from somewhere. Argh, just frusterating, I would been half as pissed if the damn bitch would have stopped for a berating at least..... Women + phone + kids = SHOULDNT BE ON THE ROAD. PERIOD. Sad thing, I think hands free would have saved this. She had phone in right hand, left hand wheel, turned to right and when she did she turned her wheel to the left (leverage to make the turn to the right). If end up not getting these OEM ones, keep an out for some guys. I really dont care for non-oem ones and my deductible at $500 isnt worth taking out, damage will be minimal so it will be less then that, I cant imagine my clear bra being more then $150 to get one panel done = $300. |

bummer about the car. thought from the title you were talking about a high speed accident. just be glad you didn't hit a cooler on the highway at 75mph like I did, that was expensive.

It might not be THAT bad either, I think the clear bra did its job and it just pulled a majority of the bra off and scuffed it, I really only have what looks to be 2-3 scuffs that may be decently repaired with touchup paint. Im going to try to get my car in tomorrow to the shop that did my clear bra if I can to get them to remove it and see if I can touch it up. If not Ill get the OEM skirts from the guy on the forums. Unless its like $150 to get the bra off then Ill just get the new skirts and have the bra put on it. Ill tell ya though Im so glad its not bad, Id rather have hit her at 35-40 head on then 15-20, lol, then it would almost total the car as opposed to just a headache in fixes....but this was great considering. Ill take it for the simple fact it could have been alot worse. |

Man that sucks, sounds like you met my ex, LOL! I'd be pissed if I put my car into the curb due to avoiding some dumbass driver that went on their merry way.
I wouldn't hate on all the women drivers though, my new girl goes to DE's and she can drive! Seriously, there has been some really crappy driving that I have noticed lately. I am not one to road rage or anything, but I have been getting pretty pissed off lately and the one common thing = cell phones. What is up with people? Hang up and f*ing drive! Good luck with your repairs.

Glad to hear it wasn't worse. I had 3 close calls saturday night downtown. You can't drive anywhere without being fully aware of your surroundings these days. Any lapse in judgment leaves room for error which could prove to be dangerous with the amount of idiots on the road.

I've had my fair share of mistakes that have proved costly. I don't intend on repeating them. I make a habit of preventing such things from happening now by any means that I can. If it makes you feel better, feel free to bust me up on here about my driving history. I could care less about my reputation on a forum.

Id rather stack the car into the curb and eat a couple $$ on this then take it and lose the car for a month or more or worse. Turns out I may not be out toooooo bad. Im gonna call the clear bra place tomorrow see if I can get them to take it off tomorrow so I can paint it and see how it looks. I have touchup paint for it. Then if it looks okay, Ill be set, but if not, Ill get the replacements from the guy on here, and probably far cheaper then getting it from the dealer, but Ill call the dealer tomorrow to see what a painted skirt is, if its not from the factory painted.....then I dont even want to know the price. |

Damn, glad you're okay David. Sucks about the car though. Hope everything turns out alright.

Of course, it doesn't help that the U.S. hands out driver's licenses to anyone with a pulse, so you get a multitude of under-trained and incompetent buffoons out on the streets wrecking havoc. Fixed.

Hey I know of a good wheel repair company that I have used on my M6reps if you want to get those things fixed.

Also guys, I went ahead and took the bra off and its actually what got tore up more then anything, but there are 2 good gouges and a couple scratches that I just dont feel look 'right' with the touchup paint on them, so Im getting the other ones from the guy on here. I guess it worked out, considering the panel from BMW is $131+ paint which is probably another $100 and then you got to consider that it might not match correctly, where as this SHOULD match perfect since its from the factory. And a tad cheaper. Plus my tint/bra shop didnt charge to take it off, just had to peel the heck out of it and then I removed some of the leftover adhesive. They just said bring whichever back to get redone and call it square...good guys. Ill say this though, the bra DID do a fantastic job of taking the brunt of the damage, Im kinda shocked really at how well it did. Had the gouges not been so deep and long then I think it would have just needed a bra put on. Good quality stuff. |

As far as the young female drivers go, its been said insurance rates are now higher for females. Gee I wonder why.

Sorry about your incident and the $ and effort to fix it, glad you're ok. Off topic, but If you're going to text while driving, you need to take a proficiency test so you're "as good" and as cool as this guy. Amazing how this guy remains as cool as a cucumber while driving the crazy highways of India.
P.S. Last week I almost got hit by a woman texting and driving while I was walking my dogs across a ~school crosswalk~. I thought we made eye contact, but I was mistaken. She had even slowed down for the crosswalk and almost came to a complete stop, but then accelerated. I yelled at her from about 8 feet as she went by. When she looked up from the phone, she looked like a deer in the headlights...
