what boost levels are you running? It looks like 17psi - 18psi. I run 94octane, have all the bolt ones with dual meth nozzles and i have never been able to trap over 120mph yet. The closest i've come is 116mph. I've had procede and JB. And that was on 18psi. Either i'm doing something really really wrong here or cars just seem to go way faster down south.

Besides Sacramento, I thought some of the fastest tracks are north of the border. Colder temps and lower elevation are your best bets for the most HP and highest trap speeds.

I am north of the border! I'm in Vancouver, BC, Canada. Our track is at sea level and usually air quality is pretty good, yet still, 12.4 @ 115mph is the best. 116mph is best trap for me! That's with a 1.9 60ft!

Yup, I don't do much highway driving usually, so about a qt every 5000 miles or so. Perfectly normal considering the type of driving I do.

I could only dream of having a track like that around here, without having to drive 830 miles round trip, which I assume your track is closer to you than that!

My only guess is that your engine is looser than others (from your many many runs), and produces a little more power. you have enough posted data that i'm sure with some evaluation, you can tell if you were getting faster apart from the mods.

did you notice more oil lose over time? I've never had to add oil at 65k miles.

I'd be curious to know your baseline hp from a well known 335i dyno that has measured many cars.

Yes, basic meth kit. However, it is now running through the JB4 FSB. I believe it starts spraying around 9psi now. Running a CM10, and CM7.

Ok. Do you experience any bog/hesitation/quench?

According to this Nozzle Selection Guide a CM10 + CM7 combo is a major overkill:

But that chart is for 50/50 mix as well, obviously you don't want to OD with a big nozzle running so much water

That table is assuming 50/50 water/meth. Having e.g. 25/75 water / meth would enable double the volume without quench. I bet Hotrod runs even less water, or almost pure meth, so he can easily spray even more.

I think even my dual CM7 (~1200cc/min not considering pressure drop) is overkill with the AFRs I'm now seeing with a flashed AFR curve...I think I'll be moving down to a single CM10 (800cc/min not considering pressure drop)..

i spray 50/50 washer fluid almost exclusively and have done so for the past 2 years

CM10 + CM7 is not slowing him down.

If by overkill you mean that he is not much faster having CM10+CM7, if any, compared to CM10 alone, then yes, it can be called an overkill. I like overkills though...

Big Tom-- I think you'll be happier with two M7s mounted as upstream as possible. Try to avoid using anything bigger than an m7 for atomization concerns. Just use more of them. With stock turbos, I can't see the need to use more than 2.

FWIW, with the PWM kits, we use two 1.0mm nozzles, running at 80% DC which is equivalent to something something just over an m7. We are now running them at 100% when running aggressive tunes (full boost plus advance). This flows around 850cc/min and results in absolutely no knock retard even on top of our 91oct. If you find yourself needing excessive amounts of meth for known suppression, something else in inherently wrong with meth operating (spray delay, inconsistent flow, nozzle location, etc,.)

Meth will evaporate in charge pipe and water is the one causing quenching. I guess 80/20 can be sprayed the double compared to 50/50. This is because there is less than half water compared to 50/50 mix.

A small additional factor to consider is that the more there is meth, the more it evaporates and cools, and because of the lower temps, a bit less of the water will evaporate before the throttle body and more of it goes to the charge.

Did I understand this right? Is your kit flowing 850 x 2 = 1700 cc/min at 100% DC?
EDIT, I think you meant that both your nozzles are flowing a total of 850 cc/min... Correct?

I'm quite happy with my timing right now, but the thing is that I'm having two extra nozzles (CM7 and M5) laying around in my garage, and it would be interesting to try a dual nozzle set up...
I'm on a single CM10 now.
