Sarasota OFH Gasket repair - recomendations

Has anybody in the Sarasota area changed the OFH gasket themselves or have a recommendation for a good affordable Indy to help me?

I started to follow the DIY last night. Before removing the manifold/charge pipe to even get to the OFH bottom bolt, I broke the $70 radiator vent hose It was 1am and I was pissed so I went to bed got up at 5am to put everything back.

I was going to do the valve cleaning at the same time. I can usually handle DIY's like this OK, so I am not happy right now because its not done. The local BMW wants $1k to do this job, no way I am paying that. If I can't find an Indy to do it cheap, I will probably give it another try in a week or so.

I figured I'd see if anyone has any recommendations first. Thank you

I really lucked out actually. This isn't normal. I had my valves cleaned by Carroll Autowerks here in Jax, and they went ahead and replaced the gasket sense they had to remove it anyways. They only charged me parts. If you find a good indy, see if they'll do the same. If they do the job properly, they have to remove the OFH anyways. An honest shop shouldn't charge you for a separate job, that would be just wrong.

Thanks, yes that would be nice if I could get them both done like I wanted to do myself.

If you feel like coming to Orlando on Sunday I can do the OFH for a lot less than $1000.

I'll be away this weekend and next week, but thanks I will keep you in mind if I can't get it taken care of locally when I return.

I got a replacement radiator vent hose, does anyone know if I need to bleed the system again after swapping this out?

I got back in town and gave it another shot this morning and succeeded (I think) with the ofh gasket. it took awhile as I took my time, but didn't run into any major problems. I didn't do the valve cleaning but will probably wait for a Walnut shell blasting group buy or something in the future. Thanks all for the input.
