Hahah I'm just messing with you.

Very interested to read your review. Please be honest, without trying to protect your investment.

I would think that for the money, those will rust pretty badly. Does it say if those are galvanized?

of course, i'll try not to be bias as i will look for thing i hate and things i like. with pictures. Im mostly concerned with ride comfort. If these are too bouncy, rough, or clunks ill take em off.

I am afraid of these rusting also, supposedly they have "Zinc Plated Anti-Corrosion Bodies". But who knows, springs are "Powder coated" hopefully they dont peel and rust. ill probably use anti seize on the thread.

But in all seriousness, I hope everything goes well and you found a great budget suspension set up. I'm always a person who doesn't believe that you must pay BMW tax to get a good product. After all of the bashing, I hope you are the one we all can praise for a great find. Good luck with your install.

Could it be worth while plasti dipping exposed metal areas that will not effect any moving areas? Could prevent premature rusting?

Look forward to reading a review.

I have personally never seen these for sale, but I have heard of quite a few running these on e46 bimmers. No ones has had any issues surprisingly. No leaky shocks and the as they are all decked to the ground, they all say they ride is not that bad.

Just wanted to point out that I hope it works for the OP. Sure we are making jokes at his expense but he seems like a cool guy with a good sense of humour and he's just rolling with them.

Having said that, what life insurance policy are you adding to match these coils?

you can use cooking spray to coat the coilovers after install, which will help protect against rust. it will eventually wear off, but it helps if you apply it often enough.

Something can't be right with that install, the front should never be that high even on the wound all the way up. I have an xi and even stock it didn't have that much of a gap.

The parts look cheap, cheap. I know the ride seems okay for now, but you need to drive around and post back in 5-10k miles.

I personally wouldn't cheap out on something so crucial (especially if you can shell out enough money for a car like this).

Why do people on this forum think they are better than everyone else? If the dude wants to get cheap coilovers, and wants to leave a review, let him. He isn't hurting anybody. No need to flame him to hell. I remember when I got raceland downpipes and everyone told me I'm an idiot. They fit just fine, thanks you elitist a-holes!

I'm all for "bang for the buck" products. I have learned over my years of modding that you usually do get what you pay for, but sometimes that's not the case. Case and points - raceland downpipes and big tom intercooler.

Totally agree with you there buddy and actually raceland pipes are great and for great I have a set as well as the Godspeed intercooler. But these are just garbage been in a few cars with them and something so crucial you can't cheap out as much as that IMO

strange the front is so high..

did you confirm that the front strut is seated all the way into the carrier? if you don't have a spreader, the strut won't slide all the way down to the stop like it's supposed to.

Also, you can remove the helper springs to make the front lower. it's obvious you don't really need them if your car is that high, lol.

I believe OP will provide an honest review of the coilovers. He said that he isn't expecting much so at least he's being realistic. We'll see how long they hold up for.

Thanks! im going to recheck everything next weekend when i have time, i didnt expect it to be that high either. i think i know the problem, but it was my fault. So Front should be done soon! rears are great now(no finger gap), just need to space it far out. I want a similar front to match rear of course. Looks so ghetto now.

I wonder what people will make up next if these coils actually ride decent lowered accordingly. people will probably think im lying. I do understand that front are at stock height and since fronts direct most of the road feel it will feel stock-ish. I hope these dont change in characteristics to much when lowering. ill report back next weekend.

The most important thing about a from forums, is the diffrent comments about a post. May they be good or bad, praise or flame. That is how I judge the topic, so I say.. flame on!!!

About the coilovers though, $350 seriously? That's like buying an iphone 5 (which is more than 350) and getting a $5 case and thinking that it's gonna protect your iphone. Drive slow homie, you never know homie..

You should throw some back and butt support in your seat (maybe pillows ) I can't imagine how horrible those things are going to ride after a month of being slammed, maybe even a week. After seeing the pics posted on this thread, i'll be praying for you man.

Seriously though take that off the car ASAP!!!!
