How can I get rid of fuel injector ticking?

Im almost positive its the injectors because during cold start its real noticeable sounds almost like a diesel and then it subsides.
But at other times while it is warmed up it will be noticeable.

I can live with it but is there a fix to getting rid of the ticking?

Direct injection naturally ticks. Diesels tick for the same reason. Just tell everyone you have a diesel.

I cant hear it while driving really, only if I get out of car while its running. But everyone else probably hears it.
I know its not wastegate noise because I can hear the noise coming RIGHT from the injector, hell I can feel it if I put my finger on them

So, you had no issues driving around in a lifted, 2007 Duramax diesel

But a little ticking noise (by design) in your bmw and it causes you great distress?

Lol'd

Is your engine cover off? It's heavily insulated to quiet the injectors and other engine noises.

The 'normal' ticking noise will usually go away once revs are up to 1500-2000rpm for a few seconds. And then will usually start again once back down at idle.

If you rev to 3K and it goes quiet its normal, after the car fully warms up under load it should be less noticeable or gone. If it gets louder and faster then you might have a lifter problem.

was looking for an answer to this and this helped thanks! lol That noise gets annoying at idle but it's gone as soon as I start accelerating.

The best way and arguably the easiest is to shut the car off.

No way around it. There can be up to 200 Bar of fuel pressure down low and up top. Once you're out of that region, it should be gone.
